Issulla the Hutt Relocates to Kessel Gate

Following the power shift in Hutt space, GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide travelled to meet with with Issulla the Hutt, one of the members of the Hutt Council.

As everyone in the galaxy watches the current events on Nar Shaddaa, where former Security Chief Sihivus Verne too control of the moon, others involved in the power shift are regrouping and looking at their options. One such member is Issulla Odominic the Hutt, who has served on the Hutt Council for several years. She invited GNN to her relocated headquartes on Kessel Gate. Hosting her is the entertainment company X Play who has opened their facilities for Issulla to conduct her business while they continue to build up the asteroid.

For now Issulla’s business is to give a home to the Hutt Council while they make plans on the Nar Shaddaa situation. Compounding the problem is that the council itself has been in the midst of internal conflict, with several Hutts dead, a situation which led to them losing power on Nar Shaddaa. Issulla hope to mend the problems in the council and restore the Hutt governing body back to its full glory.

Issulla has established her base on Kessel Gate because of the security provided by the asteroid and X Play. Her concerns are that those taking power in Nar Shaddaa may begin hunting down council members and to also to a lesser extent her feuds with other council members such as Shaka the Hutt. The feud mainly is over Shaka taking control of the council and giving power to Sihivus Verne which she ultimately used to take control herself. Issulla backs Belutric the Hutt fully but wishes to see the council restored so would like to mend fences with the other members. Its a disgrace to her that the council had to leave their moon due to the large forces under Verne that moved into the system, but she plans to back on the Black Hole cantina someday.

Beginning her crusade to retake Nar Shaddaa she has placed large bounties on Sihivus Verne her ally in the council Yarel the Hutt and the majordomos Morrigan and Sinala. In addition she plans to help reunite the rest of the council and use her extensive resources to begin a campaign against the invaders of Nar Shaddaa. How this retaliation will take place either by force, economic power or a combination of factors are unknown at this time, but Issulla has already made several positive talks with several Jedi enclaves who maybe interested in the conflict as several Siths have taken advantage of their relationships with the invaders to move in the Hutt system.

As for X Play, Kaelinn X is happy to be hosting Issulla. They have collaborated on several projects in the past and are looking to future entertainment events such as fighting tournaments, pageants, and races in the future. Hosting the Hutts should bring much needed revenue to the asteroid as X Play has spent a considerable amount to make the asteroid liveable and explore the extensive mines located there. Curiously recent investigations into the lower mines has resulted in the discovery of several hostile creatures left there by former owners of the asteroid. The creatures are still active and are posing a threat to anyone descending into the mines. For now X Play is working with the KOJ to determine what these creatures are and how to deal with them.

Member changes in the CIS

Reporters of the Galactic News went to the CIS meeting in Nar Shaddaa

For the Second time, the Confederacy of Independent System met in the rainforest of Zonama Sekot, under the presidency of the Magister Salene Lusch.

Issulla the Hutt started the first point, claiming Shaka lost his control in Nar Shaddaa, for the benefit of Sihivus Verne. Verne convinced the Hutt to raise the security level in Nar Shaddaa, up to the point her droid troops outgunned the Council. Kaelinn X, a guest from X Play, detailed Verne now had the power in the moon with Yarel the Hutt and some former majordomo. Issulla called for removing Nar Shaddaa from the CIS, because of the coup and the place is now insecure for bussiness. Other member followed, especially since Nar Shaddaa hasn’t sent a representative for quite some time.  Gistya Antilles from the CMC however added Nar Shaddaa could reapply anytime. Only Salene Lusch voted against since Nar Shaddaa on the grounds they should be heard first. The motion, then passed.

Kaelinn X and other representative of the Kessel Gate asteroid were invited by lady Kia from Dathomir and spoke on their concern. They wished to assure the security in the transport of their good. Issualla offered them to use few of her ship. Also they were proposed the status of members of the CIS. They discussed amongst themselves, then with the other members, and eventually accepted. The representatives then voted them as new member.

Lastly, Gystia Antilles proposed a new amendment to the CIS treaty to be read and voted later. This proposal will give a status to Affiliated Groups in the CIS who could advise in their domain of concern. The representatives took the text and the meeting closed.

Political Changes in the Air on Nar Shaddaa

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night held at the Black Hole Cantina on Nar Shaddaa

A large crowd was present at the Hutt council’s weekly public audience known as Hutt Night. However this night would only see a few speakers focused on the political changes on the Nal Hutta’s moon. In attendance from the council was Yarel the Hutt along with majordomos, Sinala and Morrigan.

The prior week Hutt Night saw the council led by Shaka the Hutt move against their former head of security Sihivus Verne, who was going to install a form of martial law on Nar Shaddaa against the Hutt’s wishes, by dropping her to the Sarlaac. Joining her were the before-mentioned majordomos who hesitated to act against Verne. The three however escaped and in the weeks time, Verne has used her considerable influence and contacts to bring what seems a regime change to the moon.

The airs of change prompted a visit by Issulla Hutt who was present by holocam to leave the Hutt council and politics on Nar Shaddaa until what she referred to as the true ruler council to be returned to power on Nar Shaddaa. For now she will be doing business on behalf of herself and the Hutt Council from her holdings on Kessel. Her speech rose the question who was exactly in power on Nar Shaddaa.

That question was answered by Miss Verne who took the stage next. With her poetic words she essentially stated that she herself had taken power and would be working with former leaders to bring a new government and era to Hutt space. For now though she will be holding power along with Yarel and several other former council officials such as the majordomos in attendance until the new ruling governance will be formed.

Surprising it seems she’s also working with the infamous pirate lord Jes’tula Tor’dok who has emerged back into the spotlight since a long hiatus away. He took this night to say a few words, that he was indeed back and his first order of business was to collect a bounty on Shaka the Hutt. The nature of the bounty or even if it is a standard bounty isn’t exactly known at this time, since like many things that were said this night, it was only alluded to.

With those final words, this surprising Hutt Night came to a close. How much change and by the exact nature it will take in Hutt space is unknown at this time, especially until concrete statements are made by all parties involved. The galaxy awaits the responses of the Hutts such as Shaka and others along with more words by Miss Verne. GNN will be there when they are made.”

Ship Attacked over Nar Shaddaa

Local correspondant of the Galactic News Network on Nar Shaddaa reported a ship attack.

A spaceship was attacked on the approach of the Nar Shaddaa spaceport. The “Hutt Eclipse” was about to land when she was boarded by an unidentified Corellian Corvet. The Lieutenant Jexx, officer in the ship, alerted the Nar Shaddaa Space Control the boarding party was killing all the crew mate before his signal got lost.

After action reports from the Nar Shaddaa security forces indicated nothing but wreckage where the Hutt Eclipse had once been. Either her reactor went critical or she was destroyed. Nothing is known about what happened to her cargo. No one even knows what the cargo was only that it was probably taken before the ship was destroyed. Security also reports that no survivors were found.

Criminals At Large on Dantooine

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide interviewed Psychotol Acker about some bizarre attacks that had been occurring on Dantooine.

Dantooine: While visiting the Jedi enclave on Dantooine, NJO Master Psychotol Acker, was attacked by two women who were posing as dancers. The two ladies named Nissa, a near human with orange skin and white hair, and Di’ana, a blue-skinned Twi’lek, apprached the Jedi seemingly wanting help. However Lady Acker was attacked by both with Nissa claiming she wanted to eat the NJO member.

The Jedi managed to escape the two, though was bitten in the process. Later Miss Acker was able to match the bite mark to several other taken from various victims found dead around Dantooine. While at the infirmary the next day, Lady Acker was once again approached by the women who declared themselves as Sith. Using sabers they attacked the Jedi but were soon overwhelmed by her and several GAR troopers stationed at the medical facility. The two self-proclaimed Sith however managed to escape.

In the following days, they were spotted once again in the area by GAR personnel who tried to arrest the two. Lady Acker managed to come to the scene when a call for backup was sent out, but were able to escape once again, even managing to take a bite out of the neck of a DJE Jedi.

For now the whereabouts or the exact identities of the two are unknown. Other than the names the two used and the claims they made about being Sith, there hasn’t been any records of the two either on Dantooine or in any of the Jedi archives records of the various Sith orders. The only other detail is that the pair also travel with a white-haired Zeltron. However, the authorities on Dantooine have released their descriptions are actively looking for them. Anyone with information or who spot the two are advised to contact the authorities and not engage the two themselves.

Artifact found in Tython Ruins

The jedi of Tython (NJO) discovered an old Sith alchemy artefact carved in a ruined temple on the planet. This temple was one time sealed by lady Kia from Dathomir, but the Jedi Consular exploring it found out the seal was broken. The trespasser is unknown, but Sith are suspects. Now the ruins are supervised by Jedi and troopers from the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) to prevent further intrusion.

The origin of this artefact is obscure. Master Marsh Solo believe it was used for the creation of Sith Spawn. Expectingly, the ones having broken the seal will not be able to exploit it or be its victim.

Sith Space Station Still Orbits Near Tython

Reporters of the Galactic News Network visited a space station over Ashla, a moon of Tython.

Tython: Even if the Sith left after the last war in Tython, remnants of their presence are still in the System. Notably a space station, set up as relay over the moon Ashla during the war remains operational. Due to its low energy signature, it went unnoticed after the Jedi victory, but its location was recently discovered.

The station is host to Sith and a military squadron. The commander Darth Serpentis said he’s maintaining the station for “a strategic tactical purpose,” and it’s close enough to the surface to scan for artefact and other things.” Notably Darth Serpentis is looking for an old holocron about alchemy.

The station can also be used to start attacks on the surface. Currently it hails to the New Sith Empire and its army. It’s also an outpost for the Order of the Dark Lords. This station is a fully operational outpost, medbay, conference room, detention area. and a hanger for transport to and from. They know the Jedi and the GAR have detected them, but so far, they had little contact with them.

The relation between the station and Tython might be tense in the future. A reaction of the Jedi and the GAR toward this possible hostile force is expected.
