Ground and Air Battle on Tatooine – Progress in the infection cure
Reporters of Galactic news searches witnesses on the last battles on Mos Espa against the Yuuzhan Vong.
A new battle against the Yuuzhan Vong happened in Mos Espa. This time, the Yuuzhan Vong fleet might have received a final blow, at the cost of a part of the defender Fleet, mainly the one of the Disciple of Ragnos (DoR).
Yuuzhan Vong were grouped in the desert and a part of the defender decided to meet them and finish off the destruction of the crashed ship, already bombarded under the order of the Mandalore. The others remained in the city to defend her. Voxyn creatures were spread in the town and caused a lot of damage. they were very agile and difficult to catch. After the last one died, a large object appeared in the sky. It was recognised as a Dovin Basal, another Yuuzhan vong creature.
The Arch Lord Exitium, leader of the DoR, sent their fleet attacking it and they managed to critically damage it, with the aid of the ground cannon supplied by the Revenant Armada. However the creature, in its last move casted a black hole, engulfing some of the nearby ships.
After the battle, apparently an argument started between the defender. Kabriel Le’Sanit, according to Exitium, would have blamed the DoR for the destructions caused to the city. Exitium supposed on his side Kabriel wants to take an undue credit for the victory. However there is a long run contentious between the two. On the destruction, Exitium said the DoR did not destroy any buildings, and in the opposite resupplied the city. About the Yuuzhan Vong, the DoR believe they were greater threat than anticipated. They also refused to make prisoners, not wanting to see them again.
As the city of Mos Espa was greatly destroyed, many of the civilians were evacuated several days ago under the leadership of Kabrial La’Sanit and Shan Connell, the casualty would be minimal.
Also a good news of the people infected, Shan Connell announced the first tests for a cure found by her staff were positive. It’s currently still being tested on volunteers in Nar Shaddaa, but she expect to be able to start a mass production soon if the tests are confirmed. The cure would weaken the patient during the treatment, but it is expected to be healed after three days.
