Tetans repel incursion by Revenant Armada; capture Grand Marshal

May 25, 2011

A reporter of the Galactic News discussed with witnesses of an attack on the Tetan Empire planet Kathalon.

Shots rang out in the streets of Kathalon yesterday, as a Revenant Armada strike team battled the local Tetan military defenders. “I thought the Revenant were gone… It was pretty crazy.” commented one local shop owner who witnessed the battle. When the smoke had cleared, one Tetan Administrative Officer, Wilhelm Voronus, had been shot, and the Revenant Grand Marshall had been captured.

Revenant Grand Marshall after capture by Tetans

“Our Grand Marshall… suggested we visit the GAR and then the Tetans, just to take a look around,” said one Revenant soldier who was involved in the battle, who spoke to reporters only on condition of anonymity. “We didn’t come out weapons blazing… I just thought it could be a bit more civil than going right to blows… All I know is that shots were fired at me… and I retaliated.” Go right to blows, however, is exactly what the Tetans insist the Revenant did.

“I arrived on scene shortly after they had shot one of [our] Administrative Officers. They had their weapons drawn, so I ordered our personnel to draw theirs… we quickly realized there would be no negotiating with them, and then they opened fire on us,” said Tetan Lt. Col. Starstrider in an interview.

As the battle continued, shouts could be heard as more and more Tetan security forces poured into the area to assist in the fight against the Revenant. Eventually overwhelmed, the Revenant withdrew, leaving behind their fallen Grand Marshall. When asked of their plans for the Marshall, Lt.Col. Starstrider replied “We let most of the Revenant go, however we are detaining the [Grand Marshall] for questioning.”

The Revenant we interviewed, however, did not seem concerned. “Sure we have suffered a loss… but as her student I know her will is strong. Besides… the Grand Marshall is the leader of the Revenants, but not the entire force. There are safeguards in place to [prevent] us [from] falling apart in case of such an event.” Only time will tell if the Marshall, or the Revenant Armada will prove as enduring as the soldier claims, but just fact that indicated the Armada may be on a resurgence of strength not seen in awhile.

Please stay tuned for any further developments.

Based on past experiences, I am more inclined to believe that it was the Tetans who were the aggressors than the Armada.

      I agree.

They’re nearly always the aggressors. And I love how it makes it out as if 5 Revvies went to Kathalon, were outnumbered 20 to 5, and hold their own with only one loss. I’d like to get some statistics of the battle if possible, but only if they’re accurate, not some false propaganda statistics.

((The numbers reported to me were that at the beginning of the battle there were 4 revenant vs 4 tetans. At the end there were 4 revenant vs 8 tetans. And just a note, the revenant opened fire first. This info, as indicated by the brackets is OOC))

((OOCly, Sabrina has it right, for the most part. It was 4v4 when the countdown to the fight started, then five others joined in once the fight was underway, leading the finishing numbers to be 4 Rev against 9 Tetans. Not quite 20 to 5, but not terribly far off.))

The usual NTF and Sith Empire suspects sniffling? We will say this for the Armada, at least they have guts and you likely won’t see them here crying about unfair treatment in the media like the the NTF and Sith Empire. We’d have no problem being the aggressors with the Armada as we typically do have a kill on sight policy reguarding them, however in this case we were not as a member of the civilian government was shot which prompted our forces to act. Of course you all find something to pout about everytime our name is brought up. So in summary “qq”

Sorry to tell but im not from the sith empire neither NTF,also how do you call the attack the Tetans made on Dantooine,it was a non hostile action towards people that didnt attacked anyone related to you?,Aztech was involved just in case you wondering.
Any other bug that want to come out of your mouth? cause if you gonna talk about guts why dont you all grow up some and go to Byss and see how that goes? oh right i forgot you guys choose who and where and wich time to fight depending on how many enemies, how many allies…and dont enter into the crying topic cause i swear..you guys won the galatic price by far.

We have no record the NTF or the Sith Empire complained of a mistreatment at the GNN.

Indeed, I believe the GNN to be quite fair.

Don’t mind her though, she’s gotten so caught up in her own lies she doesn’t know what’s true and what’s not anymore. She’ll simply say anything she can to badmouth the Empire and anyone who isn’t enemies with the Empire.

I believe GNN to be quite neutral, fair, and for the most part accurate in their reports.

Though their might be plenty of propaganda (from most parties) and drama in the comments, I never see this in a GNN article.

I’ve also never heard of someone complaining because of GNN treating them unfairly or poorly.

We don’t mean by the media, we mean through the media, primarily through the comments made by indidivuals following any particular article.

Sorry friend but there people talking haven’t been NTF or Sith. Know who people are, and don’t be so quick to judge and start calling out people. The ones speaking here are from the GSU. Mostly Black Sun and Blood Talon. Now if you want NTF to get involved by all means, we’ll come.

A correction to your statement my friend, the Mandos have been making such claims during their war with Byss, the one Niv declared, because the GNN began to view the mandos in poor light if only because the Mandalorians began to issue death threats to the reporters during the Mandalorian occupation of Bakura.

((Most of the Revenant would actually often prefer the media cast them in a negative light… we have committed atrocities no less then genocide in the last four years… I think any of the negative spin that ever gets put on the group ICly are completely fair. We don’t play Sith and Sith affiliated characters to be seen as morally upright and paragons of righteous good… Not one person in the Revenant has ever cried to me about the media spin in terms of obviously biased commentary.. for the most part the reports remain fairly unbiased and neutral, which is pretty generous given all that gets reported here. In terms of numbers involved in the fight, who cares, is it really so relevant as to debate it OOCly? if there were issues with the metered combat it will be sorted between the members involved and their group leaders. There was NO drama involved in this RP, which is rare enough across the community between competing groups. Lets focus on, and celebrate that if we’re to have any ooc discussion on it.))

((note for the reporters, I checked with Abyssus: the Revenant players would prefer to have their character negatively portrayed. But their character will certainly react accordingly against the offending reporter character 😉 ))
