Large Fire in Tython

November 11, 2011

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide were in the Tython System when an explosion was reported in a heavily populated area of that world. The were able to land to witness the tragedy that occurred.

Aftermath of Terrorist bombing on Tython, several important building including the main government building is on fire

Tython: A bomb exploded near the government and civilian center which started a large fire in the area. Jedi and troopers were already on the scene when GNN reporters arrived. From reports an incendiary bomb was dropped on the area, and several area had caught fire from its explosion. Several were injured as Jedi overseen by Knight Jron from the New Jedi Order (NJO) tried to rescue those they could, though the incredibly hot blaze kept aid from several while emergency crews were on their way.

As the bodies and injured rose, governor Benae came to survey the situation even though she was injured. She mobilized even more emergency crews as she spoke with witnesses. Terrorism was already on the lips of those that were able to speak, but at this time it was uncertain who was behind the devastating attack.

As the situation died down, the extent of the damage and the number of casualties began to be realized. Several building, including the main government building had been damaged, why the casualty list ranged in the tens if not the hundreds of people. The Galactic Senate and Tython authorities will be quite busy trying to deal with the situation while conducting a swift investigation. GNN wishes to extend their condolences those injured and for the families that lost loved ones.

*looks at the image provided* I wasn’t aware metal and stone could catch fire. Bravo terrorists! You’ve defied nature AND the government!

obviously they doused the entire settlement in fuel. though why they would waste fuel like that…

      • November 11, 2011 at 4:57 PM

Because they’ve never heard of bombs.

well yes, but bombs wouldn’t set metal on fire.

  2. November 11, 2011 at 7:04 PM

No. They just explode things. Which seems much more effective than magic fires.

(( if you do not know the role play please do not comment. If you do then go to Tython and find out. It is quite simple. ))

    • November 12, 2011 at 3:37 PM

(( Learn the difference between IC and OOC please. I posted IC, you responded OOC. IC, I still have absolutely no clue that it was a fuel bomb because it was not reported in the article. All I see is metal and stone magically catching fire in an image, with no hint or evidence mentioned that this was fuel. ))

      • November 12, 2011 at 3:45 PM

((Well I did mention it was an incendiary bomb, which is a bomb designed to catch things on fire. Just saying:)))

(( I am actually xamhi ( Tialia Berus ) the one who is doing the rp. The bomb that dropped was a fuel bomb… therefore it IC burnt on what ever it hit. ))

    Quoting the article itself:
“From reports an incendiary bomb was dropped on the area”

I don’t even profess to know anything about fighting, but I know enough to realize that the effects of an incendiary bomb are not due to magic but chemical engineering. However it seems to be news to you that there are different types of bombs- crazy, I know!.

I know that blew your mind, but I’m about to turn your galaxy upside down- did you know there are different kinds of grenades too, including incendiary grenades? No, I know, I didn’t believe that either, it’s gotta be some kind of magic right? Some Jedi Sith voodoo Force trickery?

If Napalm was dropped it would do that.

…well kriff. liked it better when we all thought this one was dead.

  11. November 14, 2011 at 11:03 PM

Baccus Altus: Yes, and a shame you retired when things were just about to get more interesting Miss Solo. A pity to see one of great talents just retire, and only mention they are still alive and well just now; months after leaving. I would much like to hear more of what has happened to my long lost comrade in arms.

      November 15, 2011 at 6:15 AM

Great talents…? she turned Bothawui into a target for every criminal organization in the galaxy, couldn’t keep a high ranking enemy official in custody because of her own sloppiness, raised her OWN PERSONAL ARMY without the consent of the former Chancellor until AFTER it was being made and recruited for, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, turns on her allies faster than you can say “holy kriff, she’s got a knife in my back!”

As you can see now, if the Military had properly been maintained by The Retired Senator, the bombing would have been prevented, and the terrorist caught… But sadly Tython is void of any police force or proper military to be able to defend itself from even the simplest of thugs…
