Bioweapon gets out of control in Uvena Prime

November 15, 2011

In a visit in Uvena Prime, reporters of the Galactic News noticed a great activity of the Consortium Alliance troops.

A biological weapon experiment got out of hand on Uvena Prime. The Commandant Kali from the Consortium Alliance did research of a virus in Nar shaddaa and triedto contain it. The virus was imported somehow in Uvena Prime where the Consortium moved its laboratory.

The experiment, nicknamed Project Nightmare, was meant to make a stronger army; it infects people, which once dead can be reanimated and become stronger and more resistant. The infected “soldiers” are less controllable and very aggressive, their assumed physical prowess could freak the enemy out and disorganize their lines. The virus can be airborne but the bulk is expected to spread through saliva or blood contact.

Fortifications around a quarantined camp

Attempting to shell a village with a stain of the virus, the targeting system failed and hit a nearby military camp instead. The village itself was spared. The shell infected many of the own soldiers of the Consortium. The responsibility of this malfunctioning targeting system is still to be established between the castes involved in the project.

Some people managed to escape the camp, including the doctor Vivian Roxly, which administrated a vaccine to the people being likely infected. Although the case was that already contaminated persons remained which were multiplying, infecting the soldiers stuck and unable to escape.

Moving to a safer location, reporters and consortium tried to get away from the walking dead

Quickly, after the initial outbreak, the walls of the camps were reinforced by the consortium warrior caste. Soldier and heavy equipment, lead by the Warlord Maroth in person, came from other garrisons, trying to control the situation.

In the camp itself, the virus killed most of the troops, their bodies decomposing out in the open. Worse,  several infected walkers were reported in the vicinity. The Consortium is defining a quarantine area and sending scouts and snipers, to try to clear the area of danger.

Warlord Maroth looked certain the warrior caste will be able to clear the situation, the failing shell only contained a small quantity of the agent. However the woody nature of the quarantine region makes its scan uneasy. The consortium alliance may resort to declare a state of emergency.

Even though this specific experiment seems to have failed, the consortium alliance leaders were wanting to continue the experiments. This could lead to other dramatic situations in the future.

    Zombies?

    ……Seriously?

    “Project Nightmare.”

    Project.

    Kriffing.

    Nightmare.

Project Z- hell, even project Zombie would be better. But if you’re going to act like a holotoon super villain and call your bioweapons things like “Project Nightmare” you’d better at least be sure you don’t drop them on your own troops when you first deploy them!

If anyone has any doubt about how evil the people oppressing Uvena Prime are after this point, they are mentally infirm. This is just ridiculous on so many levels. It would be funny if it wasn’t so disgusting.

I’d very much like to see a response from Morrigan or Xan Qenadius about how this must be the Shistavanens’ fault.

Actually I fail to see how this as thing to do with slavery or not. Apart from it taking place on Uvena Prime. If a biological weapon is handled carelessly it can get loose any where. Reguardless of what planet it is on. Although you seem keen to use this unhappy accident as a platform to talk about the rights of the natives. Perhaps you would put your time to better use, and find some way of preventing the spread of said virus?

Oh but Morrigan….that would mean some actual work in following his code. And he’s much more content on being a terrorist with “morals”.

better to follow a code and actually know what it means than to follow one code then sprout about how others of another code don’t know what they’re talking about.

The problem with terrorists is, they are sure they have morals. Its our morality they doubt.

We, the proud Consortium Alliance are not terrorists! Terrorists seek only one true cause. To terrorize and spread general fear. Where we split is as follows: We use fear as a tool. A tool to keep our systems in line! Fear of a horrible consenquence that will result in the event of a rebelion. Such as the one that thinks they can stand a chance against the Revenant Armada and the combined forces of the Consortium Alliance. I ask all of you this: Has not the late and ancient Emporer Palpatine done the same? Would he be considered a terrorist?

Needless to say: We are more than that. Our weapon was supposed to be a deterrant against a rebel movement which threatens our people. Furthermore we are at war and the Warrior Caste will do *everything* nessecary to make sure we survive. That is what the story is all about my friends; survival. The weak die off to make room for the strong. So says our Religious Caste.

Do I have any sympathy for the families of our brave Warriors whose lives were lost in the unfourtinate accident? Yes of course. The 119th Division were my own. They were warriors that I have personally trained along with my protoge. I saw them fight, struggle, and rise above the other members. They were the elite. For they were a part of Night Watch. Their families along with myself grieve their loss. But they will be remembered in our Great Hall. Their names echoed for generations yet to come. The virus shell that landed on our own forces was the result of a malfunction from a falty targeting system. Although I never rule out sabotauge….

To the person who thinks we are some form of “Holo-Novel supervillain” then I ask you this, “Who do you have backing you? What army will willingly fight and die for YOUR cause. YOUR life?” You are but one person. We are a military backed by droids and warriors who equally will fight and die for eachother. And they have sworn to live and die by the Warlord long before you were even born. So speak carefully. Think before you even do so.
