Tiffany Vandergraff Makes a Bid to Bring Back Order to Kathalon

December 12, 2011

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide sat down with Tiffany Vandergraff, who once being part of the Kathalon government has returned to this system to bring order back since the old regime had left.

Kathalon: Mrs. Tiffany Vandergraff former Duchess and Vice-reine for Tetan Empire invited GNN reporters who had to land on the former palace’s pad due to the chaos that has wrapped most of this system. In an apartment located far above the gang violence on the city below, she gave an interview of what had transpired on Kathalon since the Tetan Empire had left and what plans she had for its future.

Mrs. Vandergraff explained that after the Tetans had left Kathalon, a situation she didn’t wish to elaborate on, the planet had stayed stable as people began making the transfer to a new government. However, because some of the Tetan infrastructure had left as well, the climate satellites which had been helping to keep the planet temperate, began to shut down and fall out of orbit, the world then fell into a hard freeze. Without a government yet in place, mob rule took over as the planet’s residents, especially in the cities began competing for resources. Mrs. Vandergraff at this time had been off planet due to disagreements with the Tetans but returned upon hearing what had befallen her previous home.

Tiffany Vandergraff speaking with reporters on the status of Kathalon

Upon returning to Kathalon with a mercenary force as well as members from Imari Mandalorian clan, she took up position in a Tetan palace, opening the bottom area up as a safe zone for residents trying to escape the gang violence.  She still regrets leaving the first time, believing if she had stayed she could have convinced the Tetans to remain as well adverting this disaster, however no she is focused on the future of this system she cares for deeply. She stated that the major city, Vontaige City was a major disaster area after a stolen frigate crashed there. However, things aren’t much better in the other cities as strong gangs have taken over, just with the resort towns being able to escape most of the chaos due to the rich residents being able to hire security.

Not trusting most of the Galactic powers she’s determined to bring stability back to Kathalon herself with the help of other like minded individuals to form the Kathalon Protectorate. She’s in the process of drafting a constitution for a strong central government made up of 3-5 ruling bodies or individuals. Members of the mercenary group that accompanied her have been made the first citizens as well as the regular army. They are now charged with taking back the city piece by piece from the gangs who have preyed on the citizens for far too long.

Stating before she was not going to ask for help from the Galactic governments, she will however be appreciative of help from other third-parties or independent persons. Either for supplies, logistics, or direct help in restoring order, with the knowledge that Kathalon will stay independent and not be bound to any help being given. Also complicating matters for help is that many in the Tetan Empire and elsewhere view her as a traitor as well as her tentative relationship with the Mandalorians. For now she doesn’t wish to involve her husband or his clan too much in this Kathalon problem.

For the most part she doesn’t know what the future holds, but will try to restore something of a balance to the planet she has come to love.

(( Kathalon will be opening for RP soon and will be a mix of different factions battling over the territory and influence. Anyone wishing to join the Kathalon Protectorate should contact Lavinia Carver via notecard. Any faction wishing to secure a base on Kathalon should drop a notecard to Lavinia Carver as well. Watch out for updates via SWRP United group notices!))

I am unaware why The Vicereine believes any faction will assist in aiding a faction that was once such a hassle to deal with with arrogant leadership that believed that every government of The Galaxy had to bow down to them? I’m sure any galactic power that comes to Kathalon will be claiming it for themselves.

Say what you will about GAR but they rarely back down from a challenge and have outlived almost every other faction with a couple exceptions.. must be doing a few things right.

so let me get this straight…because they’re usually too stupid to run away from danger…let’s say that there’s an army of highly skilled sith between them and their goal…and because they don’t run from that, you sing their praises……congratulations, you know about as much about combat as a child.

EX-Vicereine and we have nothing to do with Kathalon but apparently you can’t help but pop up to talk and talk anytime our name is brought up just like your old man? maybe your a clone and not a son?..arrogant leadership? funny ok we’ll take it, could be worse, could be ineffective impotent republic bureaucrats that leech off of respectable groups like GAR as if they are life support.. What’s wrong? the NTF wasn’t enough of a joke you had to go carry on family tradition by helping making another government laughable?

    (Edit: fixed typo)

((Alright, this has nothing to do with the article that you are responding to, either OOCly or ICly. This is a problem that I’ve watched take up space in several articles and their respective comment boards and it is obviously a problem the two of you have with each other. Please keep it private or drop it, for the rest of us.))

Irritated Query: Will you quit spewing this pathetic nonesense about how great GAR is? Statement: Unless something has changed, they are just as expendable as always.
