Infectious Capsule Crashes in Taanab

January 25, 2012

Reporters of Galactic News Network went in Taanab to cover the crash of a mysterious ship. They met the Jedi and the new senator.

Capsule wreckage area

Taanab: A mysterious capsule crashed on the planet Taanab, not so far from the Jedi Temple. It did not cause any property damage, although the two first Jedi coming to inspect it were affected by a still unidentified infection. The symptoms were difficulties to breath, blotches on the skin and a fever. After this was discovered, they were sent back to the medical facility while the area was quarantined. The origin of the capsule is unknown but, due to the used technology, it is assumed to go back to the galactic empire era.

The Jedi, under the supervision of Master Richi Haven, and the military carried out medical tests on the people susceptible to be infected, but nobody else was found. They are studying how to cure the two which are currently put in bacta tanks. They are also looking how to move the capsule out, even considering to blow it up.

Senator Kayla Meena (left) in the medbay

The new senator of Taanab, Kayla Meena, went in the medbay to check on the infected people. She recently took her place back, replacing the retired senator Barb Flatley. She trusts the Jedi to be able to handle the infection, helping in the background.

Newly named as Senator, she plans to create a new security group for Taanab. Working along with the allied, and composed of non Force sensitive servicemen, it will patrol on the planet and other friendly systems. The Senator also declared she wanted to improve Taanab relationship with other systems and considered to visit them.

Mando’a is sacred to the Mando’ade. Aruetiise don’t have the right to speak it, they lack the soul to be worthy of our words.
