Continuous Sith Attack in Taanab

February 15, 2012

Visiting Taanab, Reporters of the Galactic News viewed a large smoke over the capital.

Taanab complained of a series of attacks from the Sith. Defenders name several of their organisations, the Dark Lords of the Sith, the Disciples of Ragnos, the Empire of Anoth and the Obsidian Dominion Military. The raiders, although they failed to damage a durable installation, have hit hard the defence by their continuous assaults. Locals lost a large number of their troops and many civilians were also victims of the attacks. The goal of the attacker is still a matter to debate, as apparently no clear claim was made. It is speculated they want the planet for themselves or want to force the Jedi or the Republic to leave it.The defenders, however still hold the ground. They’re composed of the Jedi, Taanab Planetary Defence and the Antarian Rangers, and when they can come at time, the Jedi from Dantooine. Other allied troops of the Republic usually arrive to late to intervene efficiently, the subject should have been evoked in the Senate, without solution yet. Newly created, the Taanab Planetary Defence has insufficient resources and needs more funding.

The last incident involved a Sith group led by someone identified as Zirksis Arihara. Apparently trying to kill the Jensarrai leader Cirden Fang, he used a orbital gun on the planet. His ship was destroyed by the navy and parts of the wreckage feel on the city, causing a heavy black smoke a moment. The Captain Fang is now frequently moving to prevent such attack occurs again. The reason the Sith wanted him dead is not known.

By the way, despite the dangers, the defenders showed their will to hold their planet until their last breath.

The Rangers are an excellent fighting force and have always done a great job at defending the Republic in times of need. Their abilities at combat are very useful and have proven so in defense situations and I hope they continue to grow and thrive.

((What DLoTS members? I was unaware we mounted any attacks))

      ((I am as well curious…))

*Opening the GNN holonet he glanced over the article. Within the first paragraph something was wrong. Replying to the article…*
“No members of DLOTS were involved in this conflict, our members know full well not to engage in to any conflict without proper approval. This being said, the mistake made in the article claiming DLOTS was is either a mistake made by the GNN or a false claim by those who were involved and we request this be corrected.” *Closes holonet*

The witness talked about the involvement of the Dark Lords of the Sith, without naming anybody. We only reported the Dark Lords were named. We planed to question representative from the different named order to sort out their involvement (or not) in Taanab.

((It is common in SWRP for those to associate most sith with being part of the Sith Empire regardless if it is true and which most cases it is not. Of course I dont know in this case but it may just be an error))

(ooc) there are a lot of spelling errors in this one. Also slight sentance structure problems. I would re-read everything out loud so you can find the mistakes and I would re-do the second paragraph

((I don’t see a lot of spelling errors just a couple words overlooked and a double use of the word of frequency in the second paragraph, which was removed. The Second paragraph sounds ok to me and none of the mistakes changed the meaning of the article. The sentence structure conforms to sound grammer techniques.))

-sighs- if Taanab would be smart enough, they would look arond and would realize that Myrkr is rather close to them. They should also realize that Myrkr has affilations with the Empire. And with such neighbours, they should strengthen the defenses. -sighs- it’s sad that a person like me from Tatooine has to inform Taanab that there are galactic maps. Or they cant afford one? I wouldnt be surprised… But anyway, i’ll bring them over one

((Just a quick clarifications, Constantine {(…)} has claimed IC to be a member of DLOTS, he has also brought along minions who have claimed to be part of the same faction, IC the TJO hasn’t invested any time into proving or disproving his claims of being backed by DLOTS therefore IC they are under the understanding he is being sent by that faction on sanctioned attacks. There may have been a few other unsanctioned raids by DLOTS members over the last month however that was most likely done without the approval of superiors))
