Sequels of the Tython Crystal Mining Affair

March 18, 2012

Reporters of the Galactic News met Zach Rodchester, Governor of Tython wanted by the Jedi.

Zach Rodchester, governor of Tython has not left the planet, as it was believed earlier. He is wanted by the Jedi for an offence against the crystal mining laws, he would have made “un-authorised contracts with the Hutts to mine Crystals” without the Jedi Council or Senate agreement. His position as governor is however suspended until the case is cleared. Despite a warrant was sent by the Grand Master of the New Jedi Order, Jedi on his way do not seem to want to arrest him.

Zack Rodchester in Tython

One of the Jedi anonymously says the warrant was originating from the Ambassador Bebe Benae. Himself recommended, after an early talk to Zach Rodchester that no further action would be done. The reasons why the warrant would have been forwarded by the Grand Master of the New Jedi Order (NJO) Zac Mistwalker, and why the Jedi are in charge of investigations are unsaid. This Jedi suspects a lack of communication.

Zach Rodchester was not aware of such a law restricting the mining of force crystal in Tython, however he claimed he never signed any agreement on this matter. The only agreement he signed involving the Hutt was an agreement with the republic world of Varonat, signed by everyone in the Politic Council of Tython. Tython Agriculture and Mining Corporations had to to help the development of Varonat, the operations being managed by Shaka the Hutt and the shiping by the Rep-ex. Zach Rodchester wanted to help the Hutt to improve their image in the Republic, especially after the efforts Nar Shaddaa did in Tython to relieve the victims of the attacks.

While the political situation remains tangled, new actors are showing up. A n attack against the Jedi building in Tython was claimed by an organisation called “People’s Liberation Front”. They also claim an assassination attempt against the newly elected chancellor Downz, but they only managed to touch the Senator Oba. Meanwhile a “Tython Liberation Front” exhorted the people of Tython to revolt against the Jedi. It is still unknown how both organisations are related, but both demanded the New Jedi Order cease its current policies in Tython.

Meanwhile, the chancellor Downz is wanting to help find a resolution to the matter involving the governor and tasked the Senator Nasaji Oba to investigate. He expressed his will to speak with the Tython Liberation Front leaders, warning them that they’ll be declared a terrorist faction if ever they continued their course of action. The chancellor also denied they would be any federal warrant against the Zach Rodchester.

If this is true, it has not been the first time Ambassador Bebe Benae, has caused problems. We are known for our neutrality, a simple trade agreement is not an act of agression. As the jedi seem to think it is. However, we were given minning rights, in the form of a contract. To break such an agreement does not reflect well on the republic keeping its word. With any luck it can be fixed without legal action, the best way would be to contact myself, to set up such a meeting. If nothing is done, I fear we will take such a breach in contract both personally and as a legal matter.

“However, we were given minning rights, in the form of a contract.”

Then hopefully the two of us can meet soon, as I’d like to see a copy of this contract, Morrigan.

I’ve spoken with people who are experienced in such matter. One of them has tried to contact you, with any luck we will be hearing back from your office soon.

The Tython Liberation Front congratulate their brothers and sisters of the People’s Liberation Front for their heroic action against the oppression. The Jedi tyrants showed they had to hire foreign mercenaries to save the holdings they despoiled from our hard working people. The end of their unjust and cruel ruling is about to end.

We regret whenever civilians are caught in this just combat. The martyrs will be revered forever by all tythonian families when the people will have regained its freedom.

We would meet the chancellor and examine the conditions of a peaceful withdrawal of the Jedi forces and their corrupted agents, to seek the recovery of the full sovereignty to the free people of Tython .

Nice to see more terrorists continuing the trend of self-justification that they rail against the Jedi about

Must be something in the water there to see this stupidity en masse

I’m glad to see you step forward, Zach. I want to get your side of things.

I issued the warrant for the arrest with the request from the grandmaster of the Jedi Order here on Tython. I love how people try to paint a bad picture of me, their brushes should be pointed elsewhere. Maybe to themselves? I have fought for the people of Tython for awhile now, with the work of the people we have done great things.

To get to the point, the contract that the governor “said” was approved of, the mining of force crystals was in fact told not to do. The arrest on sight for questioning was issued by myself by request of the grandmaster of the Tython Jedi Order. They have a right to issue a warrant for suspicious activity. For they are the people and the citizens of Tython, including Jedi who have lived here. Did not want this to happen.

The issue has been resolved by The Governor explaining his side and I am happy that we can continue to bring positive growth and productiveness to Tython. I had a good feeling that he would not hurt the people of Tython in such a way. For he believe very much in the people and does hear what they say. He is a great leader for The people of Tython and hope he will do more great good for The people of Tython.

As to this terrorist group I am outraged that these people would call themselves a liberation front. Their actions are obvious terrorist acts, trying to cause harm and chaos to the people of Tython. I hope that The Galactic Senate will aid us in the fight of this terrorist cell. I can only hope that we can take them out without any bloodshed if possible. Before more civilians are hurt.

Long Live Tython and Long Live The New Republic & The Galactic Senate

Ambassadors cannot contract warrants… The only one in power here who could of legally was the Governor himself, and it would only be a planetary-level warrant.

        ryanryanadams :
the planet has no constitution or laws

If there are no laws, and no constitution, how do you know who has the authority to hand out warrants?

Unless you’re pulling your statement out of your ass to help cover that of your beloved maternity model.

Well, the Executive would be the only person with the power on any Republic world allowed to hand out a warrant, and thw executive here is The Governor; therefore only the Governor may hand out planetary warrants.

You are aware that warrants for arrest are traditionally distributed through the judicial arm of a government, not the executive arm, right? A warrant is a judicial writ, not an executive writ.

Where’s the law that gives this executive the right to grant warrants for arrests?

Also, as minister of defense, why are you making arguments about the realm of law on a planet that has none?

I was actually talking down to a moron…the fact you find it to be an impression is exactly why you are one.

Who’s the more foolish, the fool, or the fool who keeps replying to his inanity, as though threatened by it in some way?

I think that’s how that quote goes.

Seeing as how you can’t get the quote right….seeing as you think you can quote laws and have former governors tell, you’re wrong. the fact you sit on the holonet and obsess….

really…quit shooting yourself in the foot.

Take the blaster and place it to your temple and remove what remains of your grey matter, if there was any and do the rest of the univserse a big favor.
