Endor Seeks Allies as Increased Attacks Plague their System

June 4, 2012

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide were invited to speak with Arbitas Rexsus, a grey Jedi and leader on Endor, about increased attacks in the region.

Forest Moon of Endor: One of the newest members of Republic and led politically by Arbitras Rexsus, one of the grey Jedi on the moon and a chieftain of the settlers, has become a target of several groups recently, prompting the settlers to demand military intervention. A recent conflict with the Disciples of Ragnos (DoR) especially has pushed Chief Rexsus to increase training of the local defense forces of all the factions living on Endor. Also he’s sent out a request to its allies and other Republic worlds for assistance if the matter gets out of control. Chief Rexsus believes the DoR’s raids will turn into a wider conflict. So far the Dantooine Jedi Enclave (DJE) has been instrumental in the defense of Endor’s moon.

However, because of the DOR’s large military Endor may need other allies. Rexsus was planning to make an announcement to the Senate requesting such and hopes that other Republic worlds other than Dantooine come to their aid. He’s also entertaining ideas brought forth by his people such as asking the Death Watch for help since they are longstanding foes of the DOR. Though this type of alliance would be difficult to make since especially since the Republic has no love of the Death Watch.

So far the DOR hasn’t made a direct attack against Endor’s moon, mainly just a scuffle from one of their allies, General Necron, with the settlers of the moon. However, Rexsus believes that its just a matter of time before the situation worsens. Endor has also been the target of other Sith groups and imperial governments, though nothing on a large-scale. The Republic war with the Confederacy may also bring heavier conflicts to the historic moon. Rexsus also has no plans to try to negotiate with what he called Sith terrorists.

Rexsus wants harmony brought back to Endor’s moon, with not only the Grey Jedi’s academy being protected but the whole ecology of the forest moon itself. It was apparent that security had been increased, we even met Rexsus and his colleagues aboard a ship, and they seem adamant in taking precautionary methods to protect their moon. Rexsus himself had this to say “I want what’s best for Endor and that means we may have to look into many means of keeping  to hidden places when unwanted visitors come and perhaps heighten security, as I may remain in this ship for most business around Endor to keep away from attackers, and may defend when in full support with my closest allies are vital.” For now Endor waits to see what the Senates response will be once the monarch visits them and if no help comes that way they will then seek alliances with others.

If Endor would like allies, then perhaps they should not go back on their word yes? This seems to be a quick way to loose allies. Of course it is more productive for them to indulge in the art of rumor craft from what I have seen. I wonder if they think of laying in the own bed when they are being attacked.
