Announcements in Nar Shaddaa

June 21, 2012

Reporters of Galactic News went at the Hutt Council Meeting in Nar Shaddaa.

Sihivus Verne

Nar Shaddaa: The Hutt clan council once more gathered in the Black Hole Casino, under the presidency of Belutric and Shaka. The translation from Huttese was assured by the Majordomo Ava Haj’ra.

The first speaker was Sihivus Verne which invited the people of the Hutt space which have been hospitable in the past to tour her projects, the most recent being a large yacht.

Shaka the Hutt then wanted to clarify about the Scarlet being promoted as Captain in the Nasirii clan while she was Commander of the Renegade Fleet earlier. The promotion is to join the clan and she left the commandment of the fleet long time ago.

Shaka also warned the audience a clan of Mandalorians settled in the lower city near the casino and guarded fiercely their new territory. He said he saw the sign while getting out of a party in Secura Vida.

Kaelin X took profit to announce another party, sponsored by the Nasirii clan, will be organised in Secura Vida, after the Hutt Night.

She also recalled the next race for the Galactic Swoop Cup will be organised in Zeltros in a few days.

Jay

Jay then took the floor to announce the Nar Shaddaa Fight Club meeting will be held in a few days as well. The Hutt told their interest for such entertainment.

After this announce Shade from the Nasirii clan approached to offer a new dancer for the Hutt. She would dance both in the Hutt Night and the next party in Secura Vida.

After this announcement, the Queen Raz’iah of Naboo, Lake Country, approached the Hutt to offer them special meal from her world, wanting to introduce future good relationships with them. This made a good impression to the court.

Queen Raz’iah from Naboo

However, Shaka called the the queen back and questioned her on a rumour he just heard about her people who were of the Death Watch had attacked the Hutt. The Raz’iah firmly denied any relationship with them. This rumour came from an attempt she made to recover a lost droid called Red. She said she sent people to trade for it, although the Hutt people alleged the Death Watches came in her name and claimed the droid by using violence. The Hutt looked like satisfied by her answer and did not penalize further business. However a long debate then, involving people in the audience tried to judge who’s the legitimate owner of that droid and in which condition. Jay eventually proposed this issue will be fixed by a game such a deadly variant of paazak. The queen ignoring his game, retired, saying she wanted to know more on this game before accepting.

To clarify the game I proposed, the pazaak variant is called pazaak roulette. It is a style of pazaak worthy of Nar Shaddaa. It begins with a normal game of pazaak, but the looser of this game then has to make a choice. In this case, the loser can give up Red, and everyone goes home safe, or they can take the revolver (loaded with only one bullet), and give the chamber a spin before putting it to their head and pulling the trigger. If they die, then the survivor wins, if they live then they play another game of pazaak. Repeat until surrender or death. How many chances she gets depends on her guts.

”In a way, these are the golden days. The apex, pinnacle, and climax. Verne extends her invitation to all legitimate lovelies upon completion of my project, and we shall simply enjoy things as they progress. Allow these days to be.. Their finest.”

“There seem to be some misunderstanding about my position within the Nasirii Hutt Clan and the Renegade Fleet. I’d like to make a correction to something stated in the article.

‘Shaka the Hutt then wanted to clarify about the Scarlet being promoted as Captain in the Nasirii clan while she was Commander of the Renegade Fleet earlier. The promotion is to join the clan and she left the commandment of the fleet long time ago.’

The statement that I’ve left the Renegade Fleet is a mistake. I still maintain command over the fleet and most recently have been working on preparations to ensure that our older starfighters remain serviceable. Preparations are also being made for the mass production of the new Venator class Star Destroyer design, which will hopefully mean new Venators will begin being constructed in the next coming weeks.”

“The article also implies that the Death Squad was successful in retrieving Red from the Hutt forces. I happen to be there when they came for Red and seem to remember them limping off with the rest of their bloody crew, and Nawa bringing Red back around in Shade’s Enforcer HQ, still under Hutt protective custody… unless something has happened since then”
