Galactic Senate Meeting after Kashyyyk events

June 25, 2012

A reporter of the Galactic News attended at the Senate Meeting in Susevfi 4.

The Senate meeting this time gathered in the planet Susevfi 4. The bill on the defence form, log time debated, was not voted as planed mast time. Apparently the status of the Grand Army of the Republic changed to “allies,” therefore did not fit the text of the project. The Senator Vandergraff will amend the bill and present it back once done.

Galactic Senate Meeting

Most of the discussion was about the battle of Kashyyyk against the New Confederacy and its sequels. The Vice Chancellor Ta’kara Darkmoon reported the New Confederacy attacked to capture some locals and enslave them. She proposed an aid will be delivered to civilian victims of the combats. The New Republic Grand Fleet suffered hard damages, but the ground troop managed well.

The Senator Connell of Bengat offered Medical supplies from her world, she also expected the New Confederacy would attack again if nothing is done. For this purpose, Yavin and Dantooine will deploy Jedi as military support.

The Senator Link Algoma of Tython also proposed medical assistance. The Captain Snoop said he was certain the Grand Army of the Republic will assist as allies, especially after one of their squad was murdered on the planet. The Senator Vandergraff sent a station escorted by medical and vanguard battle ships.

A Jedi asserted the Jedi are not usually aggressive when Sith are not involved, although, there is some exception. She suggested an assassination could be done. The vice chancellor dismissed this proposition and the Jedi proposed to limit to an arrest.

Naboo also proposed their fleet, but claimed they also were in need, since they opposed to the Lake Country opponent supported by the Galactic Empire. A representative of Rori, a moon of Naboo came in and proposed their help, altrough wouldn’t like his world is involved in wars. He advertised the resources of people on his moon and added they would be interested by joining the Republic independently.

The Senator Connell said she was worried of the health status of the Chancellor, and suggested he appointed the Vice Chancellor as Acting Chancellor to speed up the decision, especially since the Republic is in a war. A motion was made on this sense and approved by the senators.

A second motion was made to ship out medical supplies to people Kashyyyk, Naboo, and Susevfi. This was approved as well.

The senator Tiffany Vandergraff thanked for the votes and added, while she usually support the peace, the New Confederacy leadership turned to be irrational enough to not be trusted when proposing truces.

The senator of Ukio and Bengat proposed a neutral world, such as the Hutt or Zonama Sekot could host discussions with the New Confederacy. Nothing was however decided on the continuation of peace talk and the session adjourned.

A Jedi proposing an assassination? Damn, that is shocking… no sarcasm intended.

A jetii proposing an assasination? Very interesting, that’s something new from their behalf. And nobody from that ” honorable assistance” said nothing? Well, well, well, it seems that their peaceful teachings became one with the dust, or are so desperate appeling to the assasinate as last resort. Question is , they will do that with their own hands or hire somebody to do the “dirty job”. They can negotiatiate this job with mercs, siit or mando’ade? As mando’ad i swear on Manda i will not do this for jetii, even they pay me kredits for the rest of my life. If that jetii woman has enough ” blood in battery” must carry out this job by herself.

A droid protocol whispered to me they are Ordo, i’m not sure about that but if was an outpost of them..you were lucky, those guys take trophies, so it ended good for ya. Wish ya a nice day!

I’d like to point out two things:

Assassination conflicts with the Jedi code, though it’s common knowledge that there are barely any true Jedi left in the galaxy.

And talking of assassinations isn’t really the smartest thing to do, especially when this isn’t a Republic-only news network.
It’s not like the Republic is above hiring assassins anyway though, considering they’ve made deals with Metus Imperia.

Or, this actions could be disguised into the beloved expression to jetii” agressive negotitions”

pardon me for wrong basic, i meant “negotiations”

And how exactly does everyone in the galaxy know what a “true” Jedi is? I was not aware everyone in the galaxy studied and understood Jedi teachings to the point they could critique every Jedi they come across to the point of knowing if they were “true” or not. A Jedi is one who serves others above their own wants and desires while using the force in line with nature. They follow the Jedi code, the Jedi Pillars and also do their best to follow the Jedi lifestyle. Does this mean they are always perfect? No Perfection is not strived for anyway. You say its common knowledge they are barely any true Jedi left in the Galaxy. Its also seems to be common knowledge that people think Jedi arnt ever suppose to fight and to sit around meditating all day. A common belief does not indicate that it is indeed factual. Jedi are not paid for their service by the Republic or anyone and are expected to give their lives in the protection of those they serve.

Jedi aren’t compensated technically, but the majority of Republican Jedi Orders are well funded by the Republic, tax payers, and local planetary governments. While it’s true some Jedi have access to personal wealth and the orders are sometimes donated to, they’re usually kept running by the Republic. Where do you think all the star fighters, armor, and advanced technology comes from? Surely Jedi, whom by your own admission aren’t compensated, can’t afford all of that out of their own pockets. Technically you’re well compensated, just not in the form of pocket change.

And I spent most of my life as a Jedi, and am well versed in most cultures throughout the galaxy. I think I can say most of today’s Jedi aren’t ‘true’ Jedi. Marcus Moreau was a true Jedi, and I count Mikori Lawson as one.
I’m sure there are more, but they don’t come to mind right now.

Hmm and i was thinkinking that a jetii who sacrificed himself in the war from Uvena was a moral beacon for jetii, what was his name? Moreau …Marcus. But i understood the new ” beacon is called now Shy’ra, oh sorry, Shai’ra.

As you saw statements of that jetii were reproduced separate and at some distances in time, dear master jetii, from DJE? Correct me if i’m wrong. and as captain Kardel stated i was jetii too, but long ago and i know what means a true jetii. But in the end i had returned to the place and people which i belong. Like you, i had at that time masters and teachers and those people had nothing to reproach me for that period, in the end was a matter of choice. I will not enter in details of my former order, rank or status, but i can tell you their names…Richi Haven,Destiny Vuissent,Dardiel Spad or even Saritha Khandr. In rest , i wish you a nice day as it is possible.

I was given the information regarding this “assassination” talk and the Bothan Jedi misunderstood some basic and worded well her words incorrectly. This was mentioned in the meeting but not on GNN.

    • June 26, 2012 at 8:03 AM

The Jedi made a complex statement in Basic where she praised for a quick resolution of the crisis, telling Jedi precepts might suffer exceptions and ending with this quote “we should examine, however unpleasant and seemingly un-Jedi like it would be, the possibility of Assassination.”. The Vice Chancellor immediately rejected this option but the Jedi said they could hire hunters to assist the Jedi in the cells. The Vice Chancellor replied the Republic’s way is to try the criminals, the Jedi then concluded it was what she meant, blaming a conflict of languages and denied she wanted to kill them.

Have we to understand “we should examine, however unpleasant and seemingly un-Jedi like it would be, the possibility of a trial?” We’ll be glad to learn the trials in the Republic are quickly done, but what’s the role of the hunters in the process and how comes this trials would be is un-Jedi?

Please, next time when you publish an article , present the whole situation or statements of the various persons implicated, not in part, like ” A Jedi asserted the Jedi are not usually aggressive when Sith are not involved, although, there is some exception. She suggested an assassination could be done. But we should examine, however unpleasant and seemingly un-Jedi like it would be, the possibility of a trial?” Otherwise, you should see the reactions of the public.Allright, miss Kira?

“the Bothan Jedi misunderstood some basic and worded well her words incorrectly” what’s her rank? If is a padawan is understandable, but for a knight or master ….

(Alright just saying what needs to be said, sorry if i seem like a dick. Why can’t most jedi, actually RP jedi? and sith actually RP sith? Instead of everyone acting like a damn dark jedi anyways? Cause out of all my years, very few people ever RP the roles properly and it just gets insanely annoying. Learn how to RP or Don’t RP at all.))

((Many people do RP like Jedi its just the ones who do not often stand out of the crowd. Also everyone’s expectation of Jedi/Sith/DarkJedi/Mando etc seems to be completely different and the moment someone does not conform 100% to their expectations they are simply labeled as “Not RPing correctly” The moment a Jedi tells a dangerous Sith to leave they are not “Jedi” the moment they raise their voice they are not “Jedi”, the moment they do anything other than sit around meditating they are not “Jedi” and even when they do that people say they are not Jedi. This can be applied to just about every “class” in SWRP other than a soldier. Every class has some people who RP it in a way which will bring criticism warranted or not))

        (( Also a valid point, Sha’ira. Well stated. ))

    • June 28, 2012 at 1:31 AM

((No need to turn OOC what we can see as character development. It would be obviously OOC, we wouldn’t report it.

In GNN we call as Jedi, Sith et whatever almost anybody claiming they are, preferably with a mention of their Order when available. Other Jedi, Sith, etc. might stand for the character, its action.. or not))
