Visiting the New Restuss colony in Rori

June 26, 2012

After the speech in the Galactic Senate of a representative of Rori, a moon of Naboo, a reporter of the Galactic News visited this place.

New Restuss Colony in Rori

Rori, the second moon of the planet Naboo is looking to join the New Republic. This request was made by the Jedi Watchman and founder of the colony Keiran Zakura and forwarded by Kei-Rebu, another Jedi, head of the diplomacy. Both jointly administrate the New Restuss colony according to their Jedi specialization. They come from different horizons and are not part of any current order. They expect to join the New Republic to protect the moon and believe the Republic will make good use of its natural resources. Notably, the Moon has valuable spice mines, used for medical purpose. The Moon would be able to receive a reasonable amount of refugees in case of necessity. The colony would like to engage to trade with Republic worlds and is hesitating to contact outside worlds.

A recent grow of the colony is justifying the need of increased security. The moon would hire their own troop, but this might not be enough. They consider the moon independent of Naboo after some crisis in the planet isolated the colony. They’re now trying to restore the relationship with their neighbor but want to remain independent. In Naboo’s current dispute for the queenship, they incline toward the queen Sunamoon in Theed, since they have already a relationship. They wary of the Lake country faction, having heard rumours they supported by Sith.

The Jedi are also proud of the large archives they gathered, containing “a vast knowledge ranging from planets, records, knowledge of the past.” This vast library is open to Jedi, Republic and neutral worlds.

Jedi on Rori? Whilst that is a change from the normal crowd that chooses to live on the moon. However, that being said, if they are being as careful as they claim they are being, they are correct in wanting to distance themselves from whatever is going on in the Lake Country. Recent events have prooven that their queen is more than unstable.

I’d like to point out that these Jedi are severely overlooking something: Just because they founded a colony on the moon doesn’t mean they own or control the moon itself.

Technically the moon itself is an extension of Naboo, and is therefore controlled by the royalty of Naboo.

This means even though these two have founded a colony, they only control that single colony and not the moon or its resources unless they purchased ownership of the moon itself from Naboo.
