Terentatek Sighting on Tython

July 17, 2012

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide traveled to Tython where a new interest in Terentatek’s was taking place.

Gift store seizing the opportunity to sell creature merchandises

Tython: Disembarking a shuttle at the main landing area near the Jedi Temple, one is now confronted by a gift store, specializing in Terentatek merchandise such as plush toys, candies, drinks, and other items. Terentatek’s are an ancient species said to have been created by Sith, some having been used in Tython in the past. From artist renditions it seems the creatures resemble Rancors with large plates of natural armour around their head. Intrigued by this we sought out the locals to ask about the interest in these creatures.

Meeting Jedi Knight, Lady Acker filled in some of the whys to the interest in Terentateks. Seems they had found one in a closed off area. How it got trapped there or who had brought it, is unclear. Lady Acker stated that the species had originated on Korriban and had been used elsewhere but it was a mystery as to why this particular one was on Tython. Nonetheless, the Jedi were forming a plan to capture and move it to a more safe area as the aggressive creature is a danger. She also said they were able to obtain a biological sample from it to test, hoping it will provide some of the answers as to where it came from. So far no one has been documented being hurt by this creature, but the skeleton of what appeared to be a smuggler was found nearby.

Lady Acker of the NJO and candidate Sapphire Tafo speak about the Terentatek with reporters.

Senator candidate Sapphire Tafo then came on to the scene. She stated that the whole planet had now heard of the creature and was waiting to see what the Jedi are doing with it. Miss Tafo, handing out Terentaked sweets to vistors, said ignoring who opened the gift store but she explained such an enterprise proved of the Tython people were resourceful and could use a possible danger as an advantage for the economy of their world.

Already thinking to improving the systen’s economy and creating jobs, the senate candidate was brainstorming ideas from putting the creature in a nature preserve where tourists could come view it, to building a theme park featuring the creature which would be left in the wild behind secured fences. Revenue from such projects could even be used to support a local defense force. Along with Lady Acker, she also pointed out that the interest in the creature could be good for the sciences as well as for the heritage of Tython as the creatures were once used here. So maybe we’ll see some new economic initiatives based on the local wildlife. Nonetheless, Miss Tafo was impressed by the ingenious of the shop owner and recommends the delicious candy to the Galaxy at large.

Lady Acker will also set up a time for GNN to accompany those responsible for the capture of the creature. As for the Tython politics, Miss Tafo looks forward to the campaign getting back on track as its been put on hold while the Link Algoma matter was being handled. In the meantime she said to be more than happy to speak with the people of Tython or visitors from other systems.

A very large risk to capture a Terentatek. The creature is nearly immune to the force and actively hunts force sensitives when the darkside is strong in the galaxy. Even if captured where would you take it?

In this time of war, when our hard working people make sacrifices to finance the military efforts against the fierce enemies attacking our beautiful world, any opportunity is good to take to boost our damaged economy.

Hence, for this purpose and to hold the creature, I would invest in an estate, maybe a small island off our humid ocean and build a Terentatek Park for the families of the Galaxy relaxation in our dark era.

Of course, an unbreakable security system will be installed for everyone safety. This project will be open to the scientists, which we hope will be able to multiply the creatures and increase the interest of the park.

Minimum age is 1000 years, nothing indicating it has ever been off Tython in that time.

It is entirely plausible that this Terentatek is related to or even is one of those originally deployed by the Kun.
