Ta’kara Darkmoon funeral watch in Coruscant

July 23, 2012

Reporters of Galactic News observed the ceremony in honour of Ta’kara Darkmoon in the front of the Senate of Coruscant.

A large crowd gathered in front of the Galactic Senate building on Coruscant for the burial of Ta’kara Darkmoon, Vice Chancellor of the New Republic and Governor of Bengat. We saw people from the Republic worlds, Bengat, Coruscant, Naboo, Susevfi, Tython, Vermor and outside, Nar Shaddaa, Onderon, Rhelg, Zonama Sekot amongst others.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was orchestrated by Tiffany Vandergraff-Imari, current acting chancellor. She expressed her sadness and praised Ta’kara political and personal quality. She wanted her contribution not to be vain and to honour her by continuing her legacy. After few words on the Life and the Death, she invited other to speak.

Shan Connell, Senator of Bengat, recalled she was humble and honest, despite some bad-mouthing and jealous people which eventually made her kill.

Ayeka Kel said how strong she was and the Republic would need more like her.

The Queen Sunamoon of Naboo, recalled the times they spend in the politic arena and proclaimed she was a model and a landmark in the New Republic history.

Zach Rodchester, Governor of Tython, said how strong she was and compared her to a warrior dead in duty for a just cause.

Shaka welcomed her worked for the peace between the Hutt and the Republic.

Nasaji Oba added she worked for change and her passing was a sacrifice.

Vincent Harrakut from the Jensaarai, compared her as a warrior of the Republic, and dedicated the crystal of his lightsaber in the casket.

After everybody’s words, Tiffany Vandergraff closed the coffin announced it will br brought to Bengat for a formal private funeral. Shan Connell added any donations in remembrance be made to the Orphans and Victims of the Trandoshan War.

As the ceremony closed the Queen Sunamoon was removed from crying on the coffin. Cirden Fang a bounty hunter arrived alleged Hixal Aulus was behind this, this last one being dead the same day cannot defend from this allegations. Whoever assassinated Ta’kara Darkmoon would have certainly know enough to bypass the security increased after her recent kidnapping as well as the many former incidents in the senate buildings in general and knew the schedule of a secret senate meeting.

Hixal Aulus was a man who fought and died for freedom in the New Republic. He should be remembered as a hero of the people! He has his associates coming forward to carry on his fight for real freedom.

The Vice Chancellor was involved in Susefvies wrong doing and she was killed for what she knew… we have some proof of this. The republic will start to crumble even mroe when we come forward with what we know.

Hixal Aulus defied your power and you hated that as Senators… So I wish you the best of luck in defending you corruption, you will need it.

We serve what is good and right in the Galaxy… prepare for a war of words.

Sadly I was unable to attend the funeral personaly, however I have faith that Shan made a proper statement for the people of Bengat. We would like to think you for the public showing support for the vice chancellor and the causes she believed in. Ssdly, some of the Bengati funeral traditions were not suit able for a plaza in Coruscant, thus the need to return her body to Bengat.

As ffar as the cause of her death goes. Far be it from me to point fingers at such a trying time. However, Hixal and his vocal followers would have gained a lot by her death, and the matter will be looked into. Should it be proven true, things will be dealt with as needed.

I do not think Ta’kara would want us to dwell on her death however. She would much rather prefer we get on with the business of life and making sure the republic she served so well, is free from the influence of certain factions whom would like to see it twisted to serve their own ends.

The person who killed the Vice Chancellor and Hixal Aulus is in a prison cell on Tython… so how about you all stop pointing fingers at innocent people? She was brought in by two Jedi yesterday I saw then drag in her in.

Death has no meaning anymore, because no one seems to stay dead.

Taking bets on how many weeks it takes for Aulus and Darkmoon to resurface.

Also, on how long before Vandergraff is impeached from this senate like she was from the last one.
