Republic Intrigue, Deathwatch Duel, and Business at Hutt Night

September 13, 2012

GNN Reporter Daana Kira attended the latest Hutt night.

Nar Shaddaa: Once again the Hutt Council held their latest open public forum at the Black Hole casino. Majordomo Morrigan was the hostess of the even that was presided over by Issulla, Shaka and Vekeva the Hutts. The event was crowded with representatives from many Galactic factions from the Republic to the Galactic Empire to the Deathwatch in attendance.

Issula was the first to begin the talks, bringing forth several announcements. First she announced that all space traffic to Sleheyron was restricted for the time being and any unauthorized vessels would be captured. She she brought forth several matters that her agents had received lately concerning the Republic, one being that she received information on Senator Tafo about the Senator’s public actions with negative comments from an anonymous source. An investigation into the allegation will be made since the Hutt council has invested millions of credits in the Senator’s theme park on Tython. The second a supposed classified plan by the Republic to attack Hutt space named Operation Weak Underbelly.

Hutt Council and their audience look at Operation Weak Underbelly

A copy of the report was sent to those interested while Chancellor Tiffany Vandergraff-Imari, who was in attendance was brought forth in front of the Council. Operation Weak Underbelly was a detailed account of military operations, with a map, showing Republic aggressions from systems such as Onderon, Velmor and Bothawui and what Hutt worlds would be attacked by their fleets. As the report was made public, many in the audience yelled out for the Chancellor, who was also joined by the Onderon Queen, Valara Draen-Kira to be dropped in the pit. However the Hutts kept their cool and allowed the Republic representatives to speak for themselves. The Chancellor and Onderon Queen both vehemently denied knowing anything of this plan and were quick to call it a fraud. They pointed out that they had neither the might to attack Hutt space, were actually in favorable trade agreements with the Hutts, and that the documents seemed to have been forged anyways using old stamps and symbols. Others agreed with their stance with many joking the Republic couldn’t even defend their capital, while others still called for the Chancellor and her comrade to dropped to just to make sure, since even though the seals on the documents were old they were still Republic and Rebellion in nature.

The Hutt’s agreed to investigate the matter, presumably to protect their recent businesses with several of the Republic worlds. However, in good faith they required the Republic to hand over five personnel to be treated a guests of the Hutts in exchange for the Republic not to interfere with investigations. The investigation would start with the droid Issula’s agent received the information from and would be headed by the Revenant with Darth Abyssus heading the operation. The Chancellor agreed and stated that she was going to conduct internal investigations and bring whoever released this fraud to be brought to the harshest of justice. She compared the act to a form of domestic terrorism. The Onderon Queen also stated that Hutt security would have full access to any records they need on Iziz.

Former deathwatch member Kyro before the Hutts asking for Overlord Vurr to be dealt with

Continuing the night, next came Kyro a former deathwatch member accompanied by a another former member. They came before the Hutt to the Council to bear arms against Deathwatch Overlord Vurr Vizsla, who he said was a fraud of a mandalorian. Earlier Kyro and several others had been relieved of their station in the Deathwatch and had attacked the Overlord who was able to escape. They now were asking the Hutts to bring the final blow. The Hutts listened but were curious why they should exterminate the best hunter in the galaxy, a proposition Pirate Lord Jes’tula Tor’dok who also added these ex-deathwatch members were bitter. The Hutts stated it was probably best the Deatch handle this their own way, but offered to sponsor a duel.

Duel in the street leading to Kyro’s death

Vurr Vizsla himself arrived and stated that he would accept this duel. He then walked outside with Kyro and the other followed by half the audience to settle their differences in the street. While business was concluded with the remaining Council members, the duel occurred in the streets with the apparent death of Kyro. His body was then handed over to his comrade to be taken away and not even afforded a mandalorian burial. Vurr then used this opportunity to reiterate his position of Overlord and that others that came against him would have the same fate as Kyro.

Vesper announcing her entertainment business to the Hutt Council.

Inside business continued with Vesper Elomin, a representative from Iskalon, declaring her company, the Ruby scale to the Hutt. They were in the business of entertainment and hoped to enter into business with the Hutt, who agreed to speak with them for details.

The final guest was Brigh Lorgan who announced the holding of a Miss Nar Shaddaa contest. She will be taking applications from any beautiful woman as well as support staff such as security for the event. The event will be held soon. The Hutts were pleased to hear of the announce and would attend.

With that this latest installment of Hutt Night was over.

It has yet to be proven one way or another what the republic did or did not do. That being said, the matter will be looked in to. Any threat to hutt space or hutt trade, is taken seriously. Thus far the chancellor has been open about the matter. We shall if that remains the case once we begin to look for answers.

Clearly these “plans” are not of Republic origin, and are most likely some amateurish attempt to cause tension between the Republic and Hutts. Not only are they clearly inaccurate, where is the Senator broadcasting them across the public Holonet?

Then, what are the accurate plans of the Republic? And why in an assembly of Hutt, Pirates, Smugglers, Sith… and members of the Republic, are you thinking to them first?

“Someone presents a galaxy map with a Republic symbol on it and claims its plans to attack the Hutts. To verify the legitimacy of the plans it will be investigated by Darth Abyssus and the Revenant Armada. Yeah this will end well I’m sure…”

      Ironically humorous indeed.

Right there- marked with “New Republic” and an official seal that’s hundreds of years old.

Yep. Definitely a secret plan by the Galactic Senate.

That isn’t even circumstantial evidence- that’s the sort of hoax an intergalactic design student would cobble together in Holoshop.

But while the Hutts prove the legitimacy of their court and laws by turning their examination of this obvious fake into an intergalactic incident, the Republic proves its Valor by completely capitulating to the Hutts’ demands and caving in to complete non-requisites for the sake of a hilariously inane investigation.

To see two of what are allegedly the most powerful organizations in the galaxy bumbling at one another cluelessly is entertaining- and thoroughly depressing.

    Curious :
Then, what are the accurate plans of the Republic?

I didn’t imply there was any, I simply stated these plans are fake in a very obvious way. The most easily notable inaccuracy being the insignia on these plans is not that of the “New” Republic, but that of the ‘Second Galactic Republic’…

    Curious :
And why in an assembly of Hutt, Pirates, Smugglers, Sith… and members of the Republic, are you thinking to them first?

    What? Who?

I have look into this so call plans for the republic to attack the hutts in there own space. i have taking the time to look at them very closely and from what i can see and run many scans on the plans these plans that were given to the hutts were a fake. If you would look in the bottom left corner of the plans the simbal that was there is not the on for the republic but a unknown group that i do not know from where as of yet. what i can tell you about the simable is that it is a jedi simbale from both NJO and NOJ that is use but the color of it is not the colors of both orders that much i know.

Please Master document veracity expert, let us know as soon as you determine the origins of that very mysterious simable.

I have to say, the fact that they could believe such a poorly made map, just because someone took a few minutes to put it together is just silly. Plus the fact that The Republic has never put any money towards funding a Military. Chancellors have attempted to put in their own personal money towards such things; of course they could not afford more then just a few security details.
