Galactic Empire ends Tython Occupation

October 22, 2012

Reporters of Galactic News Network collected information about the take over of Tython.

The Galactic Empire removed their troop from Tython, planet they had captured about twenty standard day ago, suspecting the presence of bioweapons. Insurgents then occupied the left buildings. The Emperor claimed the success of the operations while the rebels claimed a victory.

Combat in the swamp

Earlier in the day, a combat opposed a group of Imperials and Rebels about the control of an imperial shuttle recently crashed in the swanp region of the planet. The imperial, combining stormtroopers and Sith stopped the charge of the resistance made of Jedi and gunners after an intensive combat. The Empire took the control of he area and the cargo of ammunition.

Later the Emperor Kulith Laan addressed to the Imperial officers responsable for the operation, declaring “Mission Accomplished” on Tython:

In a sudden turn of events, the Empire has declared a Mission Success regarding its efforts on Tython.

The Empire initiated a temporary occupation of Tython months ago, targeting the planet for its production of a yet-unleashed biological weapon. The weapon, described as an airborne, weaponized pathogen that targets and degrades the nerve system and motor functions of those affected. The gas was intended for covert deployment on Coruscant in order to subdue scores of Imperial troops, but would no doubt have impacted thousands of innocents due to its virulent nature.

All traces said weapon have reportedly been eradicated. Likewise, the naval assets and military shipyards of the world —set up by previous administrations to provide defense for the Republic— have also been targeted and largely dismantled or impounded to prevent their use against Coruscant in the Republic’s campaign.

Now that their goals have been met, the Empire is pulling out from the planet and returning governance back into the hands of its people, with the stipulation that planned use of such weapons against the Empire by anyone will not be tolerated.

The effort was not without difficulty of course, as the Empire’s forces were met with constant insurgent strikes and open rebellion against the deweaponization, extending the very occupation the opposition seemingly sought to end.

Award ceremonies have been scheduled to honor the soldiers and specialists responsible for the ultimate success of the operation.

While the Imperial troop boarded to leave the planet, the rebels regrouped and took the control of the key point of the Planet. The Senator Sapphire Tafo addresss to the people from the top of a tank guarding the Government building.

We are unable to conceal our emotion to see our would back in our hands. This a moment we will never forget. Tython vandalised by the foreigner, subjugated by an overwhelming power, Tython is now free! Tython is free by the will and the bravery of their own people with the support our friends, friends of the liberty.

We’re back in our home, despite the suffering, despite the destructions, but we’re back in our home holding our head high. Now we can prepare our future. But the freedom fighters of Tython showed forever to the Galaxy, there is no stronger power than the determination of a world to keep their right to the liberty!

Later, coming back from her exile imposed by the blockade, the Vice Governor, now Governor of Tython climbed on this improvised podium.

Hello people of Tython some of you know me, some of you do not. I am Terah Avon the new governor of Tython. First let me start by saying not only do we send out our condolences to the family of former governor Zach Rodchester, but also to all those who sacrificed their lives during our recent time of peril. We will never forget what you all did for us.

I was brought on as the Vice Governor by Governor Rodchester to take over for him as he was planning to step down. I was on my way back to Tython so we could announce him stepping down so he could lead the NGRF against the empire on Coruscant. But before I could make it back Tython fell. The last thing governor Rodchester did was to put a ruling in saying that in the event of his death or vacating of the office the vice governor would then become governor.

I want you to know I did not abandon you. My advisors wanted me to stay in hiding, but I could not so I scoured the galaxy looking for anyone who would aide us in our hour, as the republic failed us. I have heard your disappointment from the moment I stepped off my ship, together with the Senator Miss Tafo we are going to figure that part out. I was able to procure us some relief from an old friend and that will be arriving shortly.

I promise you that Miss Tafo and myself will be working tirelessly to get things back to normal around here. And I promise you all of those who are responsible for what has happened here will be dealt with.

The next day, Sappire Tafo announced the leaders of the resistance created a Tythan Volunteers Brigade, coordinating the Tythans wanting to continue the struggle along with the Republic to recapture Coruscant. She also deplored a “minority band of collaboration o side with the occupiers” and called for the union of all the people of Tython.

My friend was injured in the crash, thanks to the Heroes of the Empire for making sure he got out safely.

I’m glad to be off the planet, hopefully we won’t have to go back for the same reason.

“But the freedom fighters of Tython showed forever to the Galaxy, there is no stronger power than the determination of a world to keep their right to the liberty!”

Right you are, Senator Tafo. The fearsome tides of revolution tend the sweep away even the most experienced swimmer. Republic worlds in captivity have been liberated, but one would be wise to keep in mind that the war is far from over.

We have not seen the last of the Sith…

“The last thing governor Rodchester did was to put a ruling in saying that in the event of his death or vacating of the office the vice governor would then become governor.”

    Wait. Hang on.

So it wasn’t already the duty of the vice governor to take the place of the governor in the event the governor was indisposed? Because that’s usually how it’s done anyway. Why does the post of “vice chancellor” even exist if not for that purpose?

Second, if that wasn’t already established into law, it’s kind of convenient that he made this ruling that you could be governor, did not announce it publicly but told you about it, and you were “exiled” until the end of the occupation, when you could return to claim the title secretly given to you in a ruling that is impossible to prove the validity of (unless Crotchester pulls a kabriel/Hixal/Verne/everyoneelsewhodies).
