Minister Tae Aichi Rescued on Nar Shaddaa

November 5, 2012

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide traveled to Nar Shaddaa after hearing another conflict occurred there. They were able to piece together what had happened from speaking to witnesses.

After the rescue of Princess Thalia of Velmor was conducted by Republic personnel, several of the Republic agents were captured by the Revenant Armada and Hutt forces, including Minister Tae Aichi. Earlier today the Republic staged another operation whereby what appears to be Republic Special operatives infiltrated the sky-rise where some of the captured agents were being held. After a major combat with Revenant forces, Diplomatic Minister Tae Aichi was recovered though her exact condition is unknown at this time. Other details of who exactly was involved in the operation and the number of casualties are also unknown at this time.

Republic storming the tower

From the street level though the battle could be seen waging. Several witnesses observed the battle and one in particular, Jennifer Relle, was able to capture of the action on a holo-video taken from her apartment which she was kind enough to provide to GNN. She stated that earlier in the evening a ship crashed into the Hutt Tower. Then several individuals which she assumed were Jedi, since they carrying non-red lightsabers, jumped out of the ship and entered the building. Personnel from the Revenant Armada then came, many of which were carrying red sabers and a battle took place around the Hutt Tower. The Jedi then retreated back to their ship, though with someone new and fled the scene chased by the Revenant Armada.

From the video featuring a commando raid, it appears several individuals were wounded on each side including a feline Jedi who was shot. However the Armada looked to have taken casualties as well, some may have being killed in the conflict. As for what actions the Armada will take now, if there’s anymore Republic agents still in the custody, or how many forces were involved in the operation and how many casualties resulted on each side is still unknown at this time, but more information should be trickling in as time passes.
