MESC Is Set to Protect Mos Espa

November 10, 2012

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide met with the Mos Espa Security Corps (MESC) on Tatooine.

Sir Shadowalker, an ally and support of the MESC

“While visiting Mos Espa, Tatooine, we met several members and allies of the MESC which has taken over as the police force of Mos Espa even to the extent of acquiring the NFI base and their equipment. Prince Seraphinus Shadowalker resigned Knight of the Fel Imperium gave us access to the building. He’s currently helping the MESC with their duties on Tatooine even giving resources and providing ship and men from his personal fleet. Sir Shadowalker also showed us the New Mos Espa Security Act which he hopes will be enacted soon. The act called for securing the space around Tatooine but as for the reasons why and who they are protecting Tatooine from was unclear.

Following the meeting with the Knight, an MESC officer, Lt. Bellek Bel Aath spoke with us. The Lt. was once part of the Obsidian Order but now uses his skills to help protect the citizens of the city. He seemed pleased with his work on Tatooine and stated that for the most part it was quiet in Mos Espa except for the occasional Tusken raid.

Following the conversation with the Lt. the leader of the MESC Baroness Jolenda gave a short interview. She stated that the MESC’s goal was to secure and provide justice for the entity of Mos Espa. They would execute the city’s laws to the best of their ability. She also confirmed that a new Mayor had been voted for recently and they would be announced to the public soon.

As for any major problems, she said that her security forces have mainly had to deal with attacks by the Empress Teta’s forces. Its unclear what business the Tetans have in Mos Espa, but the Baroness stated that the Tetans have been trying to take the city especially since it seems vunerable due to security and governance changes. However the MESC has formed alliances with several parties including the Gegilli Hutt Clan and she’s confident that the Tetan’s will be pushed back. She also hopes to improve relations with the other cities dotted across Tatooine.

As is usual Tetan policy we do not interact much with the media…however we must address these false allegations. There has been a single bar fight in which a member of MESC was downed by a member of the Tetan Empire after attacking the Tetan without due cause, no such hostile takeover exists and these statements are not factual but a reflection of MESC paranoia. The only other incident was that our Ambassador was poisoned on Tattoine and then kidnapped from the medbay, we’re not saying MESC is responsible for this but it stands as a possibility do to their hostile rhetoric. The only reason for Tetan presence on Tattoine is for trade and we will seek diplomatic solution to the current fears the local population may have and would hope in the future the leaders of the local community on Tattooine would contact the Empire rather then the media if they have concerns as the Empress of another member of High Command would be more then happy to meet with them.

(( Someone seems to have messed up on the uniforms. The male character’s uniform has boobs on his chest. Is there no male version? ))

(( Aside from the lieutenant’s awkward chest, I like how the uniforms are original and interesting. ))

( Does anyone know who made the uniforms? They look great and I do agree that they’re very original looking. )
