Mos Eisley Update

November 19, 2012

GNN Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide spoke with several locals in Mos Eisley to catch up on news there.

Mos Eisley:This somewhat infamous Tatooine city has been a favorite of organized crime, differing political movements, and as a hangout for those wishing to be out of the Galactic spotlight. It seems things are still the same.

Imperial base in Mos Eisely.

Near the center of the city a large well defended has gone up. Flags and posters show that those is charge are using Imperial symbols and equipment from a former Empire. Locals say its a remnant of an Imperial movement that had once controlled Mos Eisley several moons past and that troopers wearing the stormtroopers armours have been patrolling around the city. Furthermore they also stated that those proclaimed to be Imperial Knights have also been seen around though most have caused trouble.

Several of the locals also believe that the Hutts still control the city, even though a Mayor had been elected. They believe Jer’k the Hutt was in control of things and had been behind the recent blockade around Tatooine and also for working in conjunction with the Mayor against other Hutts. The Mayor did have a bounty placed against her that was later lifted, but she herself seems to have gone been for several weeks now, so not all the details are known yet.

It’ll be interesting to see how all of these factions work together in this historic city. We look forward to gaining an interview with these imperials, with Jer’k, and the mayor if she is okay.
