Announcements, Trade and a New Pitt Monster at Hutt Night

December 7, 2012

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night.

This particular evening started with the Hutt Council talking about a new creature located in the pit before the grates in front of them. The creature itself seemed highly aggressive as it stressed the bolts keeping the grates in place and tried to attack guests through the bars. However, the public audience went ahead as scheduled. The HK-50 droid called Crash hosted, while Shaka, Issulla and Vakeva the Hutts presided over the proceedings. Tanno the Hutt was also in attendance though its unclear if he’s part of the Council or not or was merely a guest.

Darth Sae’hal talking about an upcoming weapon demonstration

First to be called in from of the Hutts was Darth Sae’hal II of the Disciples of Ragnos (DOR). He came to invite the Hutts to a weapon demonstration being held by the Galactic Empire. The Hutts were quite intrigued and Darth Sae’hal stated they would be notified of the time and place as well as formal invitations being sent to the other Council members. The Hutts stated they looked forward to attending.

Master Solo looking for trade

Next up was Jedi Master Marsh Solo of the NJO based on Tython. He came before the Hutts to state that he was on a mission by the New Jedi Order to set up trade with other worlds and factions on behalf of Tython. He stated they needed medical supplies, building materials, and hyperdrive for himself. In exchange the Hutts could set up trade on the newly independent world of Tython. The Hutts agreed to talk to him more later about this trade opportunity.

Darth Nessa has a weapon as well

After the Jedi Master, Darth Nessa came before the Hutts to discuss he recent discovery and subsequent re-engineering of a lost Sith order’s weaponry. She called the device an Orbital Bio-Despenser. She plans to sell it to the highest bidder once its been perfected. She plans to hold a demonstration for possible bidders. Those interested would be given a time and place. Shaka also offered to help supply resources to help quicken the weapon’s perfection.

Last to speak with the Hutts was Kaelinn X who wished to remind everyone about the upcoming Galactic Swoop Race, the first being held soon ((Saturday at 11:00 AM and at 8:00 PM)) on Bakura. The winner will receive Lambda Shuttle from Minx Bade. The next arm of the race will be held the following week on Ilum. Also from her organization, Lori announced that after Hutt Night parties will be held at Baby Girl’s.

The creature attacks everyone

After this last speaker, something or someone triggered the grates to open and the very irate creature jumped from the pit onto the casino floor. Chaos then ensued as the creature began attacking guests at random. Everyone with a weapon drew it, while others rushed the doors to get out. Jedi, Sith and Hutt security fought the creature throughout the casino and out into the streets. After heavy fighting that left several injured or dead, the creature was finally dispatched. Who’s creature it was or where it came from is a mystery at this time.

Isn’t it a jedi’s place to be humble? Gloating about killing a creature doesn’t seem to match that ideal.

It doesn’t seem very Jedi-like to seek credit for being the one to deal the executioner’s blow to a lifeform, especially when you could have easily taken that opportunity to kill or capture a distracted Sae’hal instead.

Because of time constraints this reporter didn’t have time to make a detailed account of the fight nor follow up on all the details. Most of the observations were made of the actual trade negociations and not the fight that broke out through the streets. ((It wasn’t anything against your characters, I really only had the logs to go by and the fight lasted almost 4 hours, I didn’t feel like reading through them in detail and only saw that the creature had been defeated.))

One requires intelligence to know when to be humble.

Marsh Solo is NOT an ambassador for Tython and does not have the authority to act in such a capacity. This is not the fist time he’s overstepped his bounds. He’s tried to act as a judge, a jury, a bureaucrat, a physician, a puppeteer pulling the strings of Tython’s Senators, and much more besides. He’s so ill-informed that he doesn’t realize Bakura already offered us building materials. I suspect before long this Sith-alchemy wielding quasi-Jedi will declare himself King of Tython. This fool is only creating more diplomatic messes for us to clear up when we could be devoting that time and energy to writing a new Constitution for Tython. In fact, I’m starting to suspect his actions are designed to accomplish exactly that as such a document would legally prevent him from this sort of power-hungry politicking and akul-fisted grandstanding in the first place.

Attention Hutts: This man Marsh Solo has NO legal authority to negotiate on behalf of Tython. Any agreements he signs have no backing from the Tython Government. I was the one appointed as Ambassador of Tython by Governor Avon. Not him.

Attention Marsh Solo: Stop this. Jedi are supposed to be peacekeepers. Your unwarranted assumption of powers which should rightly belong to executive, judiciary, bureaucratic, and medical establishments is EXACTLY the sort of propaganda material those lunatics in the TLF need to recruit others to their anti-Jedi banner. In fact as a member of a peackeeeping order, you should be tracking down people like the TLF instead of trying to be a hunter for all terrains. In short, concentrate on your damned job, you maard for brains megalomaniac. Or the next thing I’ll do is to grant a full-length interview to the press exposing just how bad you’ve been over the past year.

*grumbles and curses as she packs for a trip to Nar Shadda*

Since “Governor” Avon self assigned the roles of executive, judiciary, parliamentary without a single election, but with the support of the Jedi, I don’t see your point here. Whichever you now serve a coward who hide face to the occupier then forced resistants to the exile don’t make your opinion more valid.
