Baby Girl Begins the Search for an Ancient Artifact

December 17, 2012

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide met with Baby Girl at her club on Nar Shaddaa.

Nar Shaddaa:Baby Girl, also known as Kaelinn X, has a new mission for the adventurous of the Galaxy. Her company X-Play is hosting an intergalactic treasure hunt for a mythical Celestial Artifact. Miss X explained that there was a story told by Corellian parents to their children to keep them in line about an legendary weapon that could destroy whole solar systems.

Baby Girl introducing the hunt for the Celestial Artifact

She explained that the Celestials are thought to be an ancient species that passed away eons ago, but left their mark on the galaxy through advanced technology, much of which has yet to be reproduced. She points out that there are known places and artifacts that are attributed to them such as Centerpoint Station and are credited for terraforming and creating so of the planet clusters in the Galaxy such as the Hapes and Maul clusters.

Since childhood she believed that the particular weapon attributed to them by Corellian parents was only a myth. Known as the Ultimate Nullifier it was said to contain the power of a black whole and once released could swallow a whole system. However recently her staff obtained information for a Jedi that may indicate that the weapon does in fact exist.

Armed with this knowledge Baby Girl is on a mission to see of the artifact does indeed exist. She also believes that if this Jedi knows of its existence others in the galaxy probably know as well, and the weapon may fall into the wrong hands, which has also given her incentive to find it.

To expedite the process in finding it, Baby Girl will organize a hunt for those in the galaxy wishing to follow the clues. Whoever finds it will be awarded a substantial cash award. She’ll provide the starting information she has about the time of Hutt Night and the Hunt will begin.

She’s not worried about security issues, saying that its very unlikely, if the weapon even exists, that someone could make it work without in depth technological knowledge of the Celestials, most of which died with the race. Once found though she’ll keep it in a secured area.

More information can be found by reading one of the many posters placed about the event or contact Miss X or her staff at the “Baby Girl’s”. More information will also be given at Hutt Night, so all the treasure hunters of the galaxy should be on their way to Nar Shaddaa.

((I’ve been reading GNN for ages and one thing has remained a constant: every time I see the name “Baby Girl” as a character name, I want to kick her in the throat.))

I see. So fearful that others may know of this supposed weapon, she announces its potential existence to GNN, who in turn tell the entire HoloNet. Smooth move.

My question is if this weapon does indeed exist, why would anyone in their right mind hand it over for some credits, let alone entrust Baby Girl with it?

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one thinking this. “To see if it exists.” is a shite excuse. Also… a contained singularity? Is that even possible? Seems like a hoax to me. Even the Yuuzhan Vong’s Dovin Basals aren’t powerful enough to make anything more than rapidly-decaying micro-singularities.

Baby Girl, if you want to host a sorority scavenger hunt for all your little friends, I’d suggest calling a nerf a nerf and not dressing things up with this… whatever it is.

((Good luck in your event. Interested in seeing how it turns out.))

((What helps keeps sims open? Traffic and business. Each week something is going on so that avatar have a reason to leave their sims and visit others. The events are an attempt to stir up and maintain interest in SWRP. Just keeping the pot stirred with things to do. The GNN helps keep avatars knowledgable, giving them the opportunity to participate in up coming events. Basically, the more the merrier. Yeah so the premiss may not be perfect, but what is the desired outcome. I don’t know about you folks, but I am having fun.))
