Blood and Sabers at the Hutt Night

February 7, 2013

Reporters of the Galactic News attended to the meeting of the Hutt Clan Council

The Hutt Night gathered many Hutt and many guests in the Black Hole Casino in Nar Shaddaa. The speakers were introduced by Sinya Shala.

The Child

The first of them, nicknamed “The Child“, came in the name of the Empress of the “Faceless” organisation. She offered to the Hutt a vial she said held blood from the queen Thalia Janick of Velmor. She said her organisation claim is the galaxy should be led by common men and not “spoiled aristocrats and seedy politicians”.

Shaka the Hutt said he liked the Faceless’s empress view and Mit’lar was curious how she acquired the blood.

She got hold of it by impersonating a street child visiting the royal palace with his orphanage. Then she snuck inside the private apartments and took the vial in the queen’s room while she was confined in bed, seriously ill. She said she could have sliced her throat in other circumstances. When giving her loot to the Hutt, she said her organisation claim is the galaxy should be led by common men and not “spoiled aristocrats and seedy politicians.”

Jedi Nikkat and Sha’ira

The next guests were the Jedi Nikkat and Sha’ira. They offered gifts to the Hutt and announced they wanted to negotiate the release of the Jedi Tekisui, captured during the last Hutt Night. Shaka answered his losses were too important to be negotiate with credit but asked what the Jedi meant by the “uninterrupted service of financial sources” they talked about.

Nikkat answered the Hutt wouldn’t have their services stopped and added a demonstration of his skills, lifting the Huge golden Hutt statue from the plazza to crash it few layers bellow at the entrance of the casino. The Hutt became upset of this disrespect.

Conflict going on

Darth Abyssus assured the Jedi would be responsible of the death following this move and Shaka ordered the holo projection of Tekisui being tortured in the jails. Nikkat tried to convince the Hutt they have even more to lose keeping the prisoner and supporting Abyssus’s threats than giving it back. However the Hutt didn’t considered this request.

Supporters of both sides armed up and after threatening each other started to fight. Although it turned to be confusing. The Jedi, or at least a part of them, managed to slide out helping neutral observers on the way while some of the Hutt defenders seemed to attack each other for some reasons. This incident, far to be closed, could degenerate in the next days. Hard to predict how.

Considering that some very important events happened, namely millions of Hapans got killed, several jedi/rebels got captured, Abyssus got greivously wounded, and one person is presumed dead, I think this story deserves a little clarification. I volunteer to explain more about it, if Daana or Rakiko want to sit down with me (OOCly, since I am ICly missing). A single paragraph about how confusing the fighting was just doesn’t cut it. Contact me in world (Janey Obelyn).

(( there were a lot of plot threads released at this particular Hutt Night that could and no doubt will create spin off RP for many different people all over. GNN should talk to some of the key players that were there for clarification ))

((Thanks for the explanations in world. It was hard to follow a several hours RP when it’s early morning local time and several people are posting. About an attack on a city on the other end of the Galaxy, it’s not something we can have seen from the casino; it has to be reported by tier party))

If you threaten me or my business or my worlds, I will not bow down to you. If the Jedi thought threats were “negotiation” they are more pathetic than I believed possible.

Abyssus, my Admiral, survived the battle and a Hapan city was destroyed as a result of the Jedi’s actions. No apology was offered for the insult to my clan founder’s statue. To the shining Hutt status, our golden statue, being destroyed by the Jedi. No negotiations in good faith were ever considered, offered or conducted by the Jedi. I wonder if they even care for the well being of Tekisui but it is no longer my problem. He was sold to Darth Veka.

Respect us, or reap the consequences, Jedi.

”There are few things more insulting than making a mockery of the sacred court, and desecrating such earned history. For such foolishness to be brought into the eyes of the public, by supposed guardians of the peace, is an embarrassment to their title at the very least.” ~SV

I could have told you this would happen. Apparently the hutts value a statue more than sentient life. That or they are simply Abyssus’s puppets. Neither of these bode well for the galaxy. If they do this on a whim , what is there to stop them from doing it again? Unless, of course some one does something about it.

Nice cause, Faceless, but… how a vial of unhealthy royal blood is supposed to help the cause of the people?

Use your imagination, Tafo. We know you have one.
