Press Release: X Play Upcoming Events

March 26, 2013

Galactic News Network received the schedule for the next events organised by X Play

X Play Press Release

X Play, The galaxies leader in entertainment returns with THREE all new, all different events to further unite the galaxy in fun.

Turnament Poster

First up is the Light Saber Tournament. This event will take place on multiple planets, with the competitors earning points that will by them a spot in the top four duelists of the galaxy. Then the top four will compete for the title of ‘Best Duelist in the Galaxy’ and X Play’s biggest prize to date: 5000 credits.

“Everyone likes to brag they are the best at lightsaber dueling, this is a chance to put down the words and pick up your saber, and prove it. We hope to see who has the best skills.. Jedi or Sith, and settle it once and for all.” Kaelinn ‘Baby Girl’ X

Pageant Poster

Next up is the long awaited, ever popular Miss Galaxy 2. This will be structured like last years popular Miss Galaxy where different planets will have pageants and crown their own beauty queen. When all the beauty queens are crowned they will all compete for the title of Miss Galaxy, a grip of cash, and bragging rights.

“X Play has done a lot of public events, but oddly enough the pageants and fashion shows have always drawn the biggest crowds and most contestants. Fun for everyone with audience participation.” Kaelinn ‘Baby Girl’ X

Tiara’s Hunt

Finally, a new quest rounds out the line up. The Hunt for Padme Amidala’s Spring Tiara. Treasure hunters will, at their own speed and times, have to search the galaxy for clues leading to the one and only Spring Tiara worn by Padme Amidala, lost for over two hundred years. X Play is offering a cash reward for the first person who can bring the authenticated crown back to them.

“The Spring Tiara is a rare and priceless artifact, but really, nothing is without a price.” — Kaelinn ‘Baby Girl’ X

These events, created to bring commerce and tourism to the galaxy are ready to go, and just waiting for word from any official representing any planet in the system who would like to host one or all on their planet. If interested or you have any questions, please contact Kaelinn ‘Baby Girl’ X or one of the X Play crew. Spring is about to heat up!

(( spring tiara? lets try and not rape canon please. This falls under the same category of the rakghoul pendant people keep bringing back somehow ))

((For the saber tournament, I’m curious as to what meter and what planets? Sadly the first question is, obviously, OOC – but not entirely sure how to ask “which meter” ICly 😉 ))

((I guess the tournament will feature ILM a new CS develloped by Minx… please avoid commenting if a new CS is a good thing or not it’s not the purpose.

About the tiara, maybe you’re right, a rakghoul eat it and you’ll need to slay them all to get it back 😀 ))

I admit it. I threw up in my mouth a little.
X Play should start a not-for-profit branch for treating the traumatized minds of everyone who is forced to cope with the knowledge of their existence. It’s only fair.

Well, it does give some people something to do.

Morrigan, in her elderly age, has finally reached a point in her life where she’s open to compromise. Where’s the Morrigan I used to know that wouldn’t hesitate to execute X Play simply for being X Play?

      • March 29, 2013 at 5:01 PM

Because I have other projects with which to concern myself. For the moment what they choose to do is no annoyence to me.

        Morrigan Wemyss :
Well, it does give some people something to do.

Wow. That is one of the most tepidly unenthusiastic endorsements I’ve ever heard. “Something to do.” Congratulations, X Play, according to the intellectual juggernaut that is Morrigan “The Moronic” Wemyss, your endeavors are on par with “cleaning dirt from between your toes” and “getting drunk.”

And, you know, “leaving inane comments on holonet message boards.”

Actually, no, I take that back- inane messages can be raised to the level of high comedy. It just tends to manifest unintentionally.

((Traffic counts are up for Nar, the home of BG. It is number two in the search engine of SWRP sims. Life is good for X – Play Fans.))

((No negative comments on someone’s playing style. Thanks. Either ignore them either deal with it privately. This is not the place -DK))

  6. March 29, 2013 at 12:51 PM

((Idiots think they are so powerful when they are protected by their keyboards, we really can not expect anything better coming from parasites without creative ability to keep a healthy community and a peaceful coexistence.))
((please, if you dont like try be more polite when you want to say it, ok?))

i’d pay 1,000 credits to see Sohn Jowart say such things to Morrigan’s face. Provide an undoctored holovid or it did not happen.

Paid to who? If I’m going to get myself turned to stone by gazing at this thing’s visage, it’d better be for a good cause.

      • April 4, 2013 at 8:57 PM

Why, to the charity of your choice., of course.

  8. March 31, 2013 at 10:35 AM

(( The purpose for X Play is to create a variety of interactive events for the people of SWRP to enjoy if they choose, in hopes of moving traffic around SWRP, getting people to visit sims they normally wouldn’t, interact with people they normally wouldn’t, which will hopefully spark RP ( even if not centered around our group ) and hopefully give people something light and entertaining to do besides standing around waiting for something to happen. I know, not all of you need something to do because you have active RP already, which is good. I wish everyone did. It takes a lot of time and effort on not only my part, but the whole crew just to make one X Play event happen, and we have done a lot of events, on a lot of different sims: the Galactic Swoop Cup, the Pod Races, the Death Races, multi-sim quests, Paazak Tournaments, hand to hand combats, fashion shows, club parties, even just social gatherings, and have other events planned or in the works, some new, some tried and true. And we get paid nothing for this, in fact, we usually give out cash rewards and pay for everything ourselves. Why? Because we want SWRP to be healthy and offer something for everyone. However, if the general consensus is that we are harming SWRP more then helping it by trying to be something different and do something for the community, then we have done something wrong and will rethink what we are doing, and change it. Comments? ))

((The fact that XPlay’s staunchest defenders choose only to defend it OOCly, rather than ICly, should be a clear enough indication of where the biggest problem lies.))

((That might sounds strange, but I’m good with it since there is no proper channel in SWRP to publicly describe one’s group.
Also, it’s possible reaction to some OOC defaming against them, some of them having been posted here (and removed). Yes some people argue against fun RP activities run by other players, despite… the rules. —DK))

Given your uncertain punctuation and reinforcement with the suspicious-sounding “of course” I’m going to have to decline. Nice try, though.
