Sihivus Verne on the Hutt Conflict

April 21, 2013

GNN Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide were invited to speak with Sihivus Verne.

At the invitation of Sihivus Verne, whose name is known throughout the galaxy, we were able to speak with her on her ship. Currently Miss Verne has been in the midst of a controversy in the Hutt Council. For a while now she had been hired to work as security for the Hutts, originally Shaka and Tiro. Lately she worked on the matters involving the Jedi, but an argument with Belutric the Hutt who had led the Council brought her to the centre of a power struggle between Shaka and  Belutric the Hutts.

Sihivus Verne, intergalactic businesswoman

She first said it was amusing but hurtful that Belutric the Hutt classified her as a Sith and a Sith puppet at that. She denied both, claiming that she merely had business relationships with some Sith, the same as any other intergalactic business person in the galaxy. Furthermore she has no say on the ideological differences between the Jedi or the Sith and favours neither faction over the other and is neutral in her dealing with them other than she was hired to investigate the Jedi attacks on Nar Shaddaa.

For now Miss Verne has resigned from her role as advisor to the Hutt Council until things are sorted out, but she is still loyal to Shaka and Tiro the Hutts. She believes that Belutric is the main cause of the discourse as he just wanted to throw his weight around, but has no outstanding issues with otherwise according to her he would be dead already. As for her other projects, she’s continuing to run her businesses and to fill her role as Guildmaster of the Bounty Hunter Guild out of Nar Shaddaa and other systems. She hopes to streamline and make the Hunter Guild more efficient. She also has several plans for her other business.

GNN hopes to speak with Shaka or some of the other Council members soon on the matter and hopes everything is resolved between all the parties soon.”
