A Much More Peaceful Hutt Night
GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night on Nar Shaddaa.
Once again Hutt Night was held at the Black Hole cantina on Nar Shaddaa. Fortunately it wasn’t plagued by the same violence that had visited the few prior Hutt audiences. The event was hosted by majordomo Sharif Omar and was overseen by Shaka, Issulla and Gilbar the Hutts.
First to come forward were Envy of X Play and their close associate Abb’rae’dae of Deviant Pursuits. They announced a party to be held on the Deviant Pursuit ship, the Icarus in a few days ((Saturday 6 PM SL time)). The two entertainment companies are co-hosting the event and the theme will be bikini wear, with prizes going to the best dressed. This is the first of several planned events between the two companies.
Following, a mandalorian by the name Faardor Laar, second in command of the clan Imari, came beforethe Hutts to inquire about the inter-Hutt conflicts. More specifically she was concerned about violence that may spread into the Imari territory on Nar Shaddaa and wondered if her clan should prepare to do battle. Shaka stated for his part that he wouldn’t harm seek violence but it was up to Belutric the Hutt. Shaka also offered that restitution would be paid by any offending Hutt that damaged the mandalorians property.
Next a hunter by the name of Tyrron Archria came before the council with a gift of a gold plate in the shape of a sun. He offered the gift in exchange for information about the whereabouts of a man named Leo Warden. Unfortunately the Hutts did not have information on this man but stated they would try to find something for the hunter. Tyrron was looking for Leo because the latter had information on a cure for the former. If anyone has any information of where to find this Mr. Warden, Mr. Archria should be very grateful.
The last speaker of the night was the queen of Onderon, Valara Drayen-Kira. This was a suprise visit by such high dignitary but it seems that the Queen had no other choice but request the help of the Hutt Council to seek a cure for a deadly virus that had been decimating her people. A quarantine has been set around Onderon while cures are being sought by those luckily enough to be off planet for the time. The deadly virus seems to be a strain found on the sister moon Dxun. The mandalorians living there had battled the disease for generations but had vaccines against it now. The Queen has been unable to contact the mandalorians for a possible cure, but the previous speaker and mandalorian Faardor Laar offered to help. The Hutt council also agreed to provide relief good for Onderon in the meantime as well.
With that, Hutt Night came to an end without a violent ending.”

Several corrections here. First of all, I did not approach the Hutt Council for a cure, I approached them for fuel, food, and water. I am not even sure how the reporters of GNN got “cure” from the conversation, other than I mentioned the Mandalore would be delivering one. Secondly, the strain did not come from Dxun, but originated on Concord Dawn.
