Security Issues Dominate Hutt Night

May 23, 2013

GNN Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night.

Hutt Night begins on Nar Shaddaa.

Nar Shaddaa: Once a again the Hutt council held their periodic public audience at the Black Hole Cantina. A few of the council members were present such as Shaka and Gilbert the Hutts along with others. They were joined by the majordomos such as Morrigan who hosted the evening. Several deals were made within the audience itself, though not much business was brought to the Hutts who focused mainly on news about their recent skirmishes with Jedi.

On the matter of security, everywhere one looked one could see the importance the Hutts were putting on this issue. From the installed turrets around the throne area, to the increased number of security personal and manufacturing of security droids, the Hutts seem to prepare to fight the Jedi who have been giving them grief of late. Sihivus Verne, who came before the council first, relayed her efforts against the Jedi. It seems from her and her men’s accounts that Jedi missions against the Hutts have increased recently with Miss Verne at one point even being captured. However she was able to escape and capture a Jedi of her own. She advised the Hutts to increase security further and prepare for attacks from these Jedi. The Hutts agreed and seem to have assigned themselves to a long fight. As for the captured Jedi no other news about them has been procured at this time.

Faardor speaking with the Hutts.

Faardor Laar, Alor’ad of the mandalorian clan Imari, was the next to come before the Hutts. She informed them that her clan’s holdings on Nar Shaddaa were being abandoned as they focused on their work and base on Werda. The Hutt council expressed their dismay to see them go, but were happy to here that the clan was still open to fulfil contracts and that there may be business opportunities with the mandalorian activities on Werda.

A few other business deals were concluded, such as Gilbar paying of some of his independent contractors, and Hutt night came to an end.

(( You wouldn’t be the first and I even helped coin the term have a reference to it in my profile. But contrary to what some people might think im not really a huge spiderman fan. Armor colors are representative (usually) of characters personality in mandalorian culture. For Faardor it is Red to honor her dead mother and father, blue because she considers herself reliable. But you might also see tactical armor colors for mandalorians in the field. I,E camo colors. A rare few are forced to use clan colors and then you have people who pick their favorite color, not something I advocate though ))

(( Hi Faardor! Thanks for explaining, I too was thinking you looked like spidey! I think its really cool the different colors that go into the different types of armor I have seen. I use to be a mando a long time ago and felt I never stuck at it long enough to really learn all I could. Thanks for explaining though Faardor, I think its pretty cool how the colors have different meanings. ))
