GLA campaign against the Dark Side in Nar Shaddaa

May 25, 2013

A reporter of Galactic News meet one of the Jedi wanted by the Nar Shaddaa authorities.

Nar Shaddaa: The struggle between Jedi and the Hutt and their allies is going to continue. Met in an isolated place in Vertical City, the Jedi Tekisui from the Galactic Liberation Alliance (GLA) deplored the increase of Sith organisation in the moon, along with other “criminal” organisations. The GLA initially wanted to get rid of Sihivus Verne’s collection of Dark Side artifact, but recent information revealed she was a bigger threat than expected.

Tekisui from the GLA

They are working to diminish the influence of the Dark Side in Nar Shaddaa. They plan to do this by following the Jedi codes and philosophy. With them and the traditional line of the GLA, they’re wanting to destroy the Sith. Tekisui claimed “the very existence of the Sith is an atrocity, this malevolent philosophy should have been stomped into the dust long ago.” While the Sith are supported by “criminal organisations” such as the Hutt, the Jedi have the Force as their greatest ally.

For Tekisui, the Jedi are not pacifist but they “always try to exhaust the non-violent pathways before turning towards aggression.” He regrets the Dark Side adepts are very rarely able to turn from their corrupted way.

He assumes the Jedi Order will support GLA attempts to diminish the Dark Side. The GLA is a militarist branch and use their way to prevent the “oppression of the Sith” to ever returns. They count allies in several other organisation such as Mandalorians, Medical specialists, Mercenaries, those of other Force traditions. For now they are pursuing  the disruption of numerous mech/droid  factories as well as the  capture of Sihivus Verne herself.

To counter such a threat, the Hutt and their allies had to multiply the defences and incident are becoming frequent in the moon.

  1. Sihivus Verne

”I am a collector and scholar. Who are the Jedi to declare who has what on a moon where forces such as I, namely I, are prevalent? They hide in corners of the planet due to sheer numbers and resources I’ve exuded, and remain an enemy to both the Council, and Verne herself.”

I see while I was away you have managed to wriggle free Verne. You are not a collector, or a scholar. You are a darksider, with grand ambitions. I’m coming back, and you’ll be happy to know I am still with the GLA. We’ll be seeing each other soon.

“If this message shall reach any of the GLA forces, then I take it in my best interest to inform those of the GLA that you have myself and my own on your side. You do not know of who we are yet…but do not fret…we shall show ourselves to you…in due time.”

The jedi have proved to be.. troublesome on the moon. Regardless of what their moral stance is. The do not have the right to enforce their beliefs on Nar Shaddaa. As they are no doubt aware, the moon is in a sovereign system. As such, they must respect the laws of the moon when they are upon it. Failure to do so well end as unpleasantly as it does for other people who fail to comply.

“Greetings Jedi Tekisui! I will be attempting to reach you very soon for the sake of my Master. He is interested in speaking with you.”

“Tekisui claimed ‘the very existence of the Sith is an atrocity, this malevolent philosophy should have been stomped into the dust long ago.’”

We have long since found the Jedi to be…misguided…in their discriminatory practices against those who freely choose a different philosophical ideology. With words such as these, it is difficult to accept that Jedi seek peace in our galaxy. What say ye, Jedi? Does this one’s notion reflect that of the rest of you?

The Jedi Tekisui seems to neglect that it is because of the Jedi that the Sith exist in the first place. He also fails to understand that it is because of cultures like those of the Hutts that the correct conditions for the Dark Side’s manifestation exist. Ultimately, however, all Jedi fail to understand that peace is a product of culture.
