Arguments and Conflicts at Hutt Night

May 30, 2013

GNN Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night on Nar Shaddaa.

“A larger crowd was present at this week’s Hutt Night, the public audience given by the Hutt Councils. Members of the Hutt council were present, most notably Yarel the Hutt and was hosted by Sinala.

Opening scene at Hutt Night.

The first to speak with the Hutts were representatives of the Krayt Consortium. Darth Vel too the lead and told the Hutt council that Belutric the Hutt was no longer the controlling force on Tantooine, whose control would be now in the hands of the Krayt Consortium. The last assertion was objected to by a representative, Falkreath Redden of Starwind, the Amaran refuge on Tatooine, who claimed that the Krayt Consortium had little power on Tantooine and had in fact lost key conflicts. The Hutt council proposed a duel between the two factions to determine who was telling the truth and who would be the best one for the Hutts to deal with. Both sides agreed and for now the duel is scheduled for next week. Also to find favour with the council both factions also agreed to obtain the head of Belutric the Hutt.

Starwind speaking with the Hutts.

After the two opposing faction took there leave, a lady stating that she was the “Galactic Senate Chancellor of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliance” came before the Hutts. From her description it was a New Republic that was not under the influence of the Jedi. There power base is unclear at this time since the previous Galactic Republic has made no formal statement as to their dissolution. However this Chancellor was accompanied by another, U’Manu, claiming to be the governor of Coruscant. The two came before the Hutts to extend an invitation for the Hutts to join this Galactic Federation, though the Hutts didn’t seem eager to give up sovereignty to another group, especially with one that may contain enemies of the Hutts. As for now this new government was unable to state the advantages of joining their alliance though representative will probably be sent to explain things in fuller detail.

Fight between the Jedi and Hutt Security forces.

With that the business of Hutt Night came to and end, but not the excitement. As Hutts and guests began to leave, to droids, who apparently carrying a large payload of explosives, were set of by a Blue skinned Twi’lek. The target of the explosions seems to have been Sihivus Verne but others closer to the blast took the biggest hit and Verne along with her security forces were able to give chase. At this time, it became apparent the Jedi were behind the explosions as Jedi comrades of the Twi’lek came to her rescue. A chaotic fight ensued in the casino until the Jedi were able to finally escape. One though offered an amount of 700,000 credits to pay for the damages and to keep the situation from turning into a vendetta. He left with the Hutts to discuss the details.”

I applaude the works of these reporters even though some information may not be accurate. The New Republic at this time is only a few worlds with no real civlian leadership but lead and controlled by Jedi that reside in those regions left to still call themselves, New Republic.

The Galactic Senate is meant to be a forum in which to stage a platform for Diplomacy on a Galactic Scale. This new reform is going to allow all factions to have a voice through their representative and or a guest speaker that can be anyone in the galaxy that has been authorized ahead of the time to speak at the meeting.

The Galactic Federation of Free Alliances is in no way part of the former GA of the past. The structure of this new galactic government is meant to open up trade, diplomacy, and other opportunities for many other government and faction entities to join in through representation. The Chancellor is a position to moderate and move discussion or diplomatic talks forward during Senate Sessions.
As the Galactic Senate of the past was used and controled exclusively to old world beliefs and traditions. Many believe the time for change is now, and thus is why this newly reformed galactic senate is as it is.

The Galactic Senate will work with representatives who can conduct themselves in a mature and professional manner. The Senate is not a place to fight about your religious beliefs but to bring a voice and opportunity for those to stand up and bring their voice to the galactic senate. Whether it be as an advisor, or a Senator who represents a faction, or as a special guest speaker. You have the opportuntity to be apart of this new galactic senate platform.

Many people may not understand or be able to cling to this new reform. Beliefs and old world traditions of the past may cling still to those within the galaxy that want a return to old ways. The Galactic Senate is not about pointing out that your bad or good. But to assembly a group of people that are interested in the opportunity of sitting down and diplomaticly talking about trade and other great opportunities. As well as discuss issues and problems that as a galaxy, need to be pointed out.

Many people want to be heard and the galactic senate is that platform. ((not to mention the ooc gs meetings will help to talk with group leaders and create rp, create bridges, and create a chance for group leaders to talk to one another. Even with all the negative in the community, there is a chance for a positive to come out of OOC meetings. For those who want more rp opportunities. The OOC Galactic Senate sessions is another great platform to work through problems the best possible way. For as a community of leaders, we are the driving force that decides the fate of the future of SWRP here on SL. I have a note card in world on Secondlife that I can pass that explain more about the platform and how it will work. ))

Thank you for reading this and if I am needed, my contact information is provided. Long live the galaxy and its many movers and shakers.

(( Groups do not have OOC leaders, the idea that the person role-playing as the leader of a faction is able to speak for every other person role-playing in that faction is absurd.

Not to mention that it has been shown time and time again that OOC meetings do not generate role-play, only by role-playing can you generate more role-play. ))

”Oh -do- give it a rest. I do tire of the repeated nobodies claiming they’re fit to end my career, without having even a spec of merit behind it. And I don’t mean Tekisui’s little band, for once. No, rather do I mean the countless waves of people who have no prior dealings with me, yet for some compelling reason feel the need to hold a blade against me anyway.”

”Or, for some reason feel compelled to involve themselves into something in which has little to do with them. And I don’t just mean this ridiculous silly-face, I also refer to the ‘Jedi’ which involved himself in the prior scuffle for no reason what-soever, blatantly aiding in an assassination attempt without any prior knowledge of just what was going on.”

”And that’s really what it’s becoming all about, isn’t it? People wanting to throw their two cents into issues that effect them not-soever.”

“No prior dealings? Well that is where you are wrong Miss Verne, you and I have had our dealings in the past. But of course I have been gone for some time…healing…planning. If you have any ideas as to who I am…dash them away…for I am someone you will never see coming…”

(( To answer this vox persons ooc comment.I am a leader of the GS group both ic and OOC. Unlike others who stood before me, they have been dictators rather then someone who moderates, listens, and works with the people both icly and ooc. GS OOC meetings are meant to provide the opportunity to step outside of your characters and work together to find solutions and opportunity’s for rp’s to commence.

Let me be very clear, I do not speak for every factions in the galaxy. That is up to the factions representatives and is not for me to speak for. The only worlds I can speak for are former new republic worlds where they have allowed me to speak for them on their behalf when they are not present.

OOC meetings do generate rp when the right person is there to create these bridges. These ooc meetings are meant to create rp between group leaders, talk about issues and concerns within the community. Trying to find solutions to problems that are there and talking about them like adults. If we do not sit down and discuss these things then SWRP will never change and decline even more. We as a community rise and fall together.))
