Tensions High at Latest Hutt Night on Nar Shaddaa

June 27, 2013

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night.

Nar Shaddaa: The event known as Hutt Night continues at the Black Hole Cantina on Nar Shaddaa, though under the eye of Sihivius Verne with Yarel the Hutt being the only Hutt in attendance. Majordomo Sinala hosted the event which was dominated by requests for the frozen body of Shaka the Hutt, for requests of an alliance with Sihivius Verne and an incident by a man in a red coat protesting against the Hutts.

The Night began with the request of Faardor of the Imari clan for the body of the Shaka. This request was met by an overwhelming, loud and aggressive “nos” from several of those in attendance. No reason was given why the Imari clan wished to have the Hutt in Carbonite. Undeterred by this refusal representatives from Lehon, known as Near and Mal, on behalf of Nessa. They wished to trade several high-end weapons for the Hutt. Though their requests were met with the same loud “no” as before, Miss Verne though told them she would talk about a possible trade if the weapons were right in front of her ready for a trade. The representatives seemed hesitant of the idea, having wanted to make the trade through paperwork and previous channels as how things had been done with the former Hutt Council. They left apologetic to wasting time without further incidence.

Between the two requests for Shaka, Genral Vinrum and Colonel Ganron of the Imperial Storm Corps, the military arm of the DOR. He requested an alliance with the Miss Verne, which would include military help and weapons being provided to Nar Shaddaa along with assistance from the DOR and their creations. Miss Verne seemed pleased of the offer and directed the General to speak with an adviser to set up the alliance.

Also asking for a partnership withe Miss Verne, was Lynu Laido, owner of the Emporium. Verne stated that they already had a business partnership. The statement pleased Miss Laido who seemed glad to have the arrangement made public and formal.

Adding to some of the tensions felt during the night was an activist, whose message wasn’t exactly clear except for a protest against the Hutts and general leadership in Hutt space. After trying to attack several of the guests while making his way to the Hutt, the man was gunned down by security and audience members alike before causing any serious injuries to anyone.

With the final alliance being made, Hutt Night came to an end.

Lynu Laido is probably the only reason the undercity is actually functional at the moment. I think it’ll be soon that she’ll even take over that casino too. She feeds the poor and takes in the people who can’t work to feed themselves. She’s our savior!

”The casino is the symbolic mantle of power and prowess. If one wishes a mantle to themselves, one must free themselves from the ridiculous concepts of morality we have built. And re-purpose that very wall for something far more productive and meaningful.”
