Black Hole Casino Turns Into Battlegorund Once Again

July 11, 2013

GNN Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night.

Hutt Night once again came to the Black Hole Casino on Nar Shadda, though this night saw very little business dealings and instead was the site of a conflict the broke out at the start of the event. In attendance were Yarel the Hutt, his majordomo Sinala, and Sihivus Verne. Also joining the leadership host, were several others including Nar Shaddaa administrator Sharifa Omar.

Crowd gathers at Hutt Night.

Before guests were invited up, talks about how the leadership should be laid out on Nar Shaddaa were engaged in by those present. Miss Verne made the proclamation that Yarel would lead Nar Shaddaa and that Omar would be given leadership roles over another on of Verne’s holdings. This news was met with an objection by Miss Omar, who made it a point to say that she had considerable influence having grown up on Nar Shaddaa, that she was in control of Shaka the Hutt’s holdings, and that the last thing Nar Shaddaa needed was another Hutt as its leader. She was reminded that they were in Hutt space and a Huttless Nar Shaddaa wouldn’t go over well, but it was agreed to enter into private talks over the matter later.

Once the call was made for guests to come forward to speak with the leadership, a pale Twi’lek took this opportunity to approach. Once within range of Miss Verne he jumped to attack, though his aggressive move was hampered by those in between him in his target. As security began to get ready to take down the unruly guest, two Jedi also came forward igniting their sabers. The three seemed to be on the same page about attacking those they believed to be oppressing Nar Shaddaa, though it not known at this time if they were working together. With the Jedi entering into the fray, chaos broke out throughout the casino as blasters, vibroswords, and other weapons came to bear.

At the end, the pale Twi’lek was feeling the effect of a tranquilizer dart and his injuries and Miss Verne herself had fallen along  with the droid Sinala. The Jedi themselves were exhausted and when sounds of re-enforcement came echoing through the casino they quickly made their way out taking the for all intent and purposes the subdued Twi’lek with them. One of the Jedi also took Verne’s mask for some reason. As for the reason of their attack or what they had hoped to accomplish only time will tell. For now, Nar Shaddaa security secured the area and took the fallen to receive medical care. As for any response or declarations by Miss Verne, those will have to wait for her recovery.

Actually a lot of time was spent waiting for a speaker to report to the majordomo’s. After a significant amount of time was wasted with no speaker reporting in the discussion of a distribution of power was brought forth. That turned sour so they asked if anyone wanted to come forward or they would end hutt night. Then the fight.

”A good portion of the crowd showed up fashionably late, and business was undoubtedly impeded by that of the attack itself. With that said however, talks of concluding the arrangement of The Collective shall soon end. Perhaps one as yourself would be interesting in speaking of such, considering how it shall impact the ways of things.”

Perhaps, although I have not heard much of this collective myself. I am personally of the opinion that the Moon of Nar Shaddaa should be ruled by a grand figure. That was Shaka in the past. (and then several other figures before him)

But given the options that should be Verne.
Sharif(a?) Omar is not that name and honestly is / was just a lackey, one without ettiquette and manners such as yourself and previous rules. And while I am not claiming yarel is incompetent (I haven’t looked into him that much) He does not have a big name for himself yet. I imagine he could lead the planet but the real people are looking for a charismatic, experienced, competent leader who can give it the voice it so deserves.

And I was tempted to speak this night but given the people present among the crowd and lack of speakers (lets say early speakers anyway) I decided not to. Seeing as what happened that might have been a good thing otherwise I might have become a victim to the roaming security threats lately.

No reason to be angry:) I’ll change it, just a poor choice of words on my part to describe the end of the fight, though I’m not sure it changes anything.
