Sith Imprisoned on Dantooine

October 1, 2013

Rakiko Lowtide, reporter of the Galactic News Network, met a prisoner in Dantooine’s jails.

Another arrest in Dantoine Jedi Enclave for affiliation the dark side of the Force. Atropa Raine is currently held in cell after having been captured on the way to the temple library where, he said, he was wanting to study. He had rejected the offer to surrender by the Jedi since a while and was arrested few days ago, despite a violent resistance. Atropa Raine said the Jedi didn’t issue clear charge against him. He also complaints on the harsh incarceration conditions, having no food and having just received water after two days. The force field of the cell prevented all physical contact with other so far.

One of the guardian, Guntai Haj’ra, however claimed Atropa Raine was a Sith, originally member of the Disciples of Ragnos, and now part of a secret organisation he didn’t want to name. Worshiping the Dark side of the Force is forbidden by Dantooine laws. The offenders have offered a chance to leave and are only arrested if they stay. Atropa Raine, however according to Guntai has perpetrated crimes on Dantooine and allied planets and will be granted a fair civilian trial. Currently, envoys are being sent to other worlds to check if he committed other crimes there. Also, Dantooine strongly believes to the rehabilitation of the people. Atropa Raine could benefit of this process, even if it may last quite a while.

OH yes look at me a sith in my black robes with my lightsaber showing, going to land on a planet governed by a jedi order to look at their study logs what could possibly go wrong? And he is complaining about not getting food or water I am sure that jedi prisoners get it much worse in a cell on somewhere such as Byss.

It seems that the poster of this comment has yet to learn that news items are often misreported by this .. agency .

To begin with, the fool in question, and yes I will call him a fool even though the article is in many cases of dubious accuracy. I have known this particular experiment far too long to think of him otherwise, this fool was not captured on Dantooine.

Rather the individual was attacked on Korriban and taken to Dantooine, by a subject whom i have yet to identify. The attacker however made use of a lightwhip of a crimson hue.

Concerning the second aspect. The jedi make claims to being humane, a prisoner’s treatment on other worlds has no bearing on this claim . It is the jedi’s treatment of prisoners that has been indicted in this article. No one else’s. The alleged treatment of prisoners on other worlds in no way shape form or fashion excuses the treatment claimed by this.. yes I will again call him a fool .

I do have one small concession for the poster . I find their name , Dakk, appealing for some reason .

Not sure how it was misreported, both the prisoner and the guard said he was captured on Dantooine. However,, if there was secret information out there where only a couple in the entire galaxy knows the truth contrary to what everyone else knows, you can understand how maybe it wasn’t reported to us. But from the information we were given the incident was reported accurately.
