    The following is entirely OOC:

As you can see, this is an OOC invite for an OOC function. There are many who feel we don’t offer much to this community and this is not the case and thus we will increase our efforts to show just that. We have always done this party but it was usually just restricted to NOJ and DLoTS. This cannot be the case anymore. In continuing with our efforts to show the community we are equally interested in fixing the status quo, we are inviting everyone Sith, Mando, Jedi, Trooper and Republic.

Come on over in your best costumes as we will have cash prizes for best voted male and female costumes etc. It is always a good time and we look forward to sharing it with the whole community at large.

OOC: thank you for not having any group restrictions on the event. Not sure if I’ll be able to make it due to my RL work schedule but If I’ll able to log on I will drop by, if not maybe the next event.

((Please, enough with the mockery and the mudslinging at situations one does not have a complete understanding in. First, Byss was never restrictive to people who behave themselves when they visit. We don’t even have the KOS policy in place toward Jedi or anyone else. We don’t harass people OOCly or ICly and haunt their every step when they come to any of our sims. Second, has it ever crossed anyone’s mind that some of the sim owners of SWRP are not in it for the traffic or for any hope of monetary return in a business sense? Because who’s in their right mind would bank on that? It’s their love for creativity and personal enjoyment, as well as their generosity in sharing such with others, either with the group(s) occupying the sim or those that wish to just come by to RP. From the tone of late, such generosity is not very much appreciated or respected, if at all. All they’re facing is people making a big deal about how much traffic their sim is or is not getting. Some even go so far as suggesting certain sim, that do not meet a certain number of visits in their mind, to shut down, potentially rob the community of a place some of us rather enjoy RPing in. So, let’s all be civilized toward each other, despite our differences in opinions and say something only when you have something positive to say. We don’t make it a habit to attack other in the community and make accusation on whether a group is inactive or a sim is sitting emptied. So why is that we’re the bad guys when it’s us that are constantly being targeted with such hateful propaganda? Common, enough already. Reasonable people actually do get tired of reading negative comments all the time.))

((Wow… way to jump on the defensive over nothing. I hate to lower the tone even more than Darth Sar’Rai already has but are you guys really so paranoid that even innocent and honest comments are viewed as insulting and belittling? That’s depressing. 😦 I was gonna try to get on after work, just to see what it’s like, but that’s kinda put me off it now…))

It’s ok just a sign of how bad things have gotten Tsan. You should come. We are having a blast…everyone is.

    OOC:

Honey, I think they were being serious about coming. I kinda said the wrong anyway initially anyway. What I meant was that this is an annual tradition that started just between NOJ and DLoTS because so many of us were OOC friends. Now though, I think we should be sharing our yearly thing with everyone and thus we are.

There will also be a Sith-mas party in December.

I think Darth Sar’Rai was referring to a comment made by another poster whose’s comments that are now deleted. I can’t speak for that person’s intentions but I am sincere and truly sorry I missed the event. I think it’s always great when the community can come together.

((You are correct in that my comment wasn’t in response to yours in any way. It was in regard to another that has now disappeared altogether. We ended up having a great turn out and we’d like to thank everyone for coming to spend some time with us. Wish you were there too, Vinshu, perhaps next time.))

Yes, save for a minor glitch in the tech side of things during a DJ shift change which was sorted out, we ran a good 5 hour event. Thank you to Nemmy who did the decorations and the invitation. Without your help this never would have been the success it was. You were certainly the star of this event to me.

We will post a similar notice for the annual Sith-mas party in December and perhaps Tsan and Vinshu will have a chance to attend then.

Here’s to a better 2014 for the community.

((Perhaps, if the “Sith-mas” party falls at a better time for me.))
