Lady Zav/Zyrah Kidnapped

December 18, 2013 6 comments

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide met up with UrZuric on his quest to rescue Lady Zav.

Landing site on Oricon

Our previous encounters with UrZuric was when he was head of the ODSL (Order of Dark Sith Lords) who had taken control of territory on several worlds around the galaxy. At that time he was known as Darth Oblivion. However as we spoke with UrZuric on Oricon, now it was clear he was more like himself when we spoke with him while he was head of the OJO on Onderon.

UrZuric gave an explanation. The leader of the ODSL had been a clone of him, which he recently killed on Coruscant to bring his imperial expansions to an end. With the death of their leader the ODSL seems to have come to an end as well. This incident, he said, was the result of of his interactions with Master Moonsoo of the KOJ several moons ago that left his mind split. Lady Zav tried to “cure” Zuric by cloning him but because of the impending destruction of the OJO the process wasn’t perfected leaving the clone who would become the head of the ODSL and the real UrZuric who was taken to Voss.

Zuric with allies as the prepare to search for Zav.

Lady Zav herself was defeated by the clone and reborn as Lady Zyrah who co-ruled the ODSL. At the destruction of the ODSL Zyrah fled with the what was left of the dark council to reform the New Order of the Sith, but was recently kidnapped by an entity best described as a Dread Master. Though the entities reasons aren’t known at this time.

UzZuric finally finding peace in his mind on Voss, though leaving him separated from force is now on a quest to free his once love. Helping him is the remainder of the New Order of the Sith and his son Xahertsa. He also hopes to gain support from the Jedi, though has un-easy truce with them since he feels they dropped the ball to help Zav or the OJO previously. How this will end is anyone’s guess and what the plans of this new entity are only time will tell.”

Food and Business at Hutt Night

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt night.

A large crowd was present at the latest public Hutt audience known as Hutt Night. Hosting the evening was Mit’lar the Hutt’s majordomo, Clandestine. From the council, Shaka, Mit’lar, and Gilbar the Hutts were present.

The first to address the Hutts was a Genosian named, Opuurin. Representing the Kobbegg Conglomerate, Opuurin offered to enter a business deal with the Hutts concerning advanced droid models, specifically security droids. The Conglomerate itself does business on several worlds from Alaris Prime to Neimodia and have already produced several droid models. Opuurin told the Hutts they could already supply several of their top of the line models and were able to fill customization orders as well. The Hutts seemed interested in the goods and offered to rent the Conglomerate a factory on Nar Shaddaa to produce droids according to Hutt specifications.

Lexx selling food to the Hutts.

Next to come before the Hutts was an entertainment business owner known as Lexx. He had recently opened an establishment known as Hutters and wished to extend his services to the Hutts that ranged from food to dancing-girls to hosting. The Hutts were eager to try the merchant’s wares and ordered several shipments of food from him, with the possibility of Hutters providing food for future Hutt Nights.

Faardor giving an update.

After the food business, Alor’ad Faardor Laar updated the Hutts on the latest news about the virus that had hit Onderon hard. She stated that the system known as Mirial had signed a peace treaty with the Mandalore and was now a mandalorian protectorate. This world along with Onderon have been provided with medicines to combat the virus. The Mandalorians for generations had been treating the disease on Concord Dawn and had established several treatments. Shaka the Hutt agreed to send more supplies to Onderon to help with their aid.

Negocating with the Hutts.

Last to come before the Hutts was Lady Cacophony who wished to buy out the service of Clandestine from Mit’lar the Hutts. She and the Hutts came to an agreement of 30,000 credits plus the cost of food for a week. The negotiations had been tense and several times it seemed violence was to break out, but at the end the lady made the purchase and left with the former majordomo who had been pressed into service after a bounty had been collected on her.

With the final negotiations finished, Hutt Night came to an end.

Karatos Plague Spreads Throughout the Galaxy

May 3, 2013 39 comments

GNN reporter Xera D’Ukal reports from around the Galaxy the latest crisis.

The GNN Headquarters in Iziz now stands empty, the entire city seemingly deserted after a massive quarantine and evacuation due to a deadly virus which struck the planet hard and fast.  A team of scientists from the corporate giant known as Adascorp aided the planet in discovering the identity of the virus, which is now conformed to be the Karatos Plague.  The Karatos Plague was a deadly viral infection that originates from the planet Concord Dawn. Traveling in spores, the virus relentlessly attacks the internal chemistry of its host. Blindness occurs in forty minutes, followed by brain death within an hour. Mandalorians vaccinated against the virus as children, so the aggressiveness of this virus is mostly experienced only by offworlders, when Mandalorians carry the virus to their worlds.

A deserted Iziz

The Karatos Plague on Onderon was indeed to discovered to be carried to the planet by the Mandalorians, due to their close contact throughout the years.  In an interview with the Queen of Onderon, she very diligently states that she knows the Mandalorians did not bring them the plague on purpose, and that the Mandalorians have agreed to ship them the cure and vaccines immediately, providing it is Mandalorian medical personnel who administers the relief of the disease.  Adascorp and its team of scientists, lead by Dr. Elektra, have formulated a compound that has slowed down the effects of the virus and prevented many people still on the surface from death until the cure arrives, which could take some time due to the bulk of the Mandalorian fleet being in orbit around Mirial.

Queen of Onderon on her Flagship

In an interview with the Queen of Onderon, she expressed much worry for the safety of her people, and a deep sadness for those lives lost as a result of this ordeal.  She does not bear any ill will against the Mandalorians, but simply hopes the cure reaches Onderon as fast as possible.  There has been much structural damage done to Iziz as a result of rioting of those left behind.  Fires have been started and the entire city is coated by a thick white smoke mixed with the humidity of the atmosphere.  The Queen says that once it is safe to return to the planet’s surface, the city will once again be rebuilt.  Once again because the first time, the city was destroyed by a group of Jedi turned Sith who had once ruled the planet until the rightful monarch liberated Iziz.  The Queen stated she is saddened that the city must be rebult yet again but said they were better prepared for any disaster that came their way than the last time, and the entire process should go much smoother.

Prime Minister Zannah Lorso of Mirial

Soon after departing Onderon, this reporter travelled to Mirial, to catch up update on the war going on there, only to find that the Karatos Plague has spread there as well.  Thousands have already died in the invasion by the Mandalorians, despite Jedi Master Torok’s and Jedi Master Marsh Solo’s best efforts to defend the planet.  Now that the plague has hit thousands more have died.  Prime Minister Zannah Lorso expressed a deep resentment for the Mandalorians, calling them “butchers and rapists” during the attack on her planet.

Prime Minister Lorso Surrenders to the Mandalorians

Prime Minister Lorso was forced to meet with the Mandalorians on their fleet in orbit around Mirial, pleading with them for a cure since the virus plaguing her people was found to be Karatos Plague.  The Mandalorians would only give the Mirialans the cure if they surrendered the planet to them, to which she angrily agreed.  Mandalore A’denla Kad promised her that no more of her people would be harmed, and that the planet would now be under Mandalorian protection and be allowed to continue as it always has, but under Mandalorian rule.  Prime Minister Lorso would be allowed to continue to hold her office, but now would be forced to answer to the Mandalorians who now rule the government.

Will this plague continue to spread from planet to planet wherever the Mandalorians travel?  What steps is your government taking to prevent such an occurrence from happening to your planet?  Will the Mandalorians take steps to contain this plague, or weaponize it as has been done in the past, and use it to force planets to surrender to their will?  Stay tuned to GNN for updates on this deadly virus, where your own safety is now at risk.

A Much More Peaceful Hutt Night

April 26, 2013 1 comment

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night on Nar Shaddaa.

Once again Hutt Night was held at the Black Hole cantina on Nar Shaddaa. Fortunately it wasn’t plagued by the same violence that had visited the few prior Hutt audiences. The event was hosted by majordomo Sharif Omar and was overseen by Shaka, Issulla and Gilbar the Hutts.

Envey and Abbra before the Hutts.

First to come forward were Envy of X Play and their close associate Abb’rae’dae of Deviant Pursuits. They announced a party to be held on the Deviant Pursuit ship, the Icarus in a few days ((Saturday 6 PM SL time)). The two entertainment companies are co-hosting the event and the theme will be bikini wear, with prizes going to the best dressed. This is the first of several planned events between the two companies.

Faardor and fellow clansman at Hutt Night.

Following, a mandalorian by the name Faardor Laar, second in command of the clan Imari, came beforethe Hutts to inquire about the inter-Hutt conflicts. More specifically she was concerned about violence that may spread into the Imari territory on Nar Shaddaa and wondered if her clan should prepare to do battle. Shaka stated for his part that he wouldn’t harm seek violence but it was up to Belutric the Hutt. Shaka also offered that restitution would be paid by any offending Hutt that damaged the mandalorians property.

Tyrron requesting information from the Hutts.

Next a hunter by the name of Tyrron Archria came before the council with a gift of a gold plate in the shape of a sun. He offered the gift in exchange for information about the whereabouts of a man named Leo Warden. Unfortunately the Hutts did not have information on this man but stated they would try to find something for the hunter. Tyrron was looking for Leo because the latter had information on a cure for the former. If anyone has any information of where to find this Mr. Warden, Mr. Archria should be very grateful.

Onderon Queen speaking with the Hutts.

The last speaker of the night was the queen of Onderon, Valara Drayen-Kira. This was a suprise visit by such high dignitary but it seems that the Queen had no other choice but request the help of the Hutt Council to seek a cure for a deadly virus that had been decimating her people. A quarantine has been set around Onderon while cures are being sought by those luckily enough to be off planet for the time. The deadly virus seems to be a strain found on the sister moon Dxun. The mandalorians living there had battled the disease for generations but had vaccines against it now. The Queen has been unable to contact the mandalorians for a possible cure, but the previous speaker and mandalorian Faardor Laar offered to help. The Hutt council also agreed to provide relief good for Onderon in the meantime as well.

With that, Hutt Night came to an end without a violent ending.”

Quarantine on Onderon

April 21, 2013 5 comments

GNN Reporter Xera D’Ukal, while on a routine medical visit to the Sir Gent 09 Medical Center in Iziz, stumbled upon a horrifying scene:

Shortly after this reporter arrived to the Medical Center, several citizens arrived escorted by one of the Onderon troops.  The Corporal explained that he had found a woman sick and complaining of blindness in the middle of the street and escorted her to the medical center immediately.  Around the same time, another woman arrived with the same ailment, which turned out to be none other than the Queen of Onderon’s handmaiden, Jade.

Ailing Citizens flock to the Medical Center

The nurse on duty did all she could to save the first woman who had come in, but the woman was vomiting violently and other bodily fluids were spewing out of her uncontrollably.  Several of these liquids got on the soldier which had brought her in for help in the first place.  The woman was pronounced dead exactly fifteen minutes after her arrival.  The soldier who had brought her, despite washing in a sanitation area, contracted the disease almost immediately after her death, and was dead one hour later.  Jade was medically evacuated escorted by troops to the Queen’s flagship and placed in cryo-stasis.

The Iziz medical staff, now deeply worried, had yet another patient brought in.  This one was considerably more calm as she was lead to the biobeds to be treated.  The nurse did everything she could to try and save the woman’s life, but she too succumbed to this terrible virus as the nurse held her hand in her blindness.

Blood Samples are Taken from the Victims

The Mandalorian warrior known as ‘Rook’ on duty at the medical center issued a planet-wide level 1 Quarantine of the populace, stating all ships flying in or out must be thoroughly checked for disease or anything carrying disease before entry or exit.

A team in Hazmat suits scoured the city and found that soon the entirety of the Onderon Military, which had been called in to enforce the civilian quarantine, were now dead due to the virus..  Blood samples from the victims have been gathered and delivered to the science offices of the Adascorp Corporation in hopes of finding out what this deadly virus is so that a cure can be found.

Hazmat Team investigates the streets of Iziz

The Queen of Onderon was not available for comment on her city’s plight, as she had been evacuated to her flagship the moment the outbreak occurred.  Further medical aid and supplies are expected to arrive via the Mandalorian clan Munit’kad who has been responsible for the security of Onderon ever since the Queen liberated it from the sith.  The death toll is at a catastrophic level and is expected to rise even higher by the time this virus’ origins and cure is discovered.  Bodies are to be burned immediately, not buried, and it is recommended all trade with Iziz cease for the time being.  Updates are to follow on this story.

Damages in Marlev 4

January 2, 2013 Comments off

Galactic News Reporters went in the planet Marlev 4 and discussed with the Sith

Sith Citadel of Marlev 4

Marlev 4 main city and its Sith citadels were the targets of an unclaimed attack and is rebuilding the damage. The rebuild process was trusted to Lady Teninista and her droids. So far the Sith investigations have not determined the attackers, but it’s believed local Irrukiine were involved, some have been seen in the city about the time of the attack. They believe unlikely the Jedi were the attackers; even if some Jedi happened to challenge the Sith in the past, none have been spotted in the city since a long time.

The Order of the Dark Sith Lords (ODSL), holding the planet have also built a network of several hidden bases across the Galaxy, including, they say, in their former holdout of Onderon. This bases are used by their operatives, but the order don’t want to build an Empire competing with the existing ones. The order itself remain neutral with them.

Onderon Queen Valara denies Sith Affiliation

December 8, 2012 28 comments

Reporters of the Galactic News Network discussed with the Queen of Onderon about the Jedi accusation she would be a Sith undercover.

After the accusation in the last High Jedi Council, the queen Valara Drayen-Kira of Onderon would be a Sith in the hiding, the queen denied en bloc the points of the accusation.

After the former Onderon Jedi Order had left, who had  turned to the dark side and devastated the city of Iziz, she considers the Sith as “predators who would prey upon the innocent” and see them as enemies and would captures the ones spotted in Onderon.

Onderon

The dungeon

One of the accusation was she kept a torture room under the royal palace. The queen showed us this room and said it wasn’t used for torture, just interrogations. The room is secured to be able to hold the most powerful force users. Such a room was used in the history of Onderon when they had to deal with Sith magic. The Death Watch Vurr Vizsla was also held in one of the device when he was captured in Uvena Prime and brought back to Onderon where he had to answer for attacking Jedi Padawans. He eventually escaped with the complicity of Sith from the Trayus academy, wounding the queen during action.

Onderon

Palpatine’s tomb

Further in the city, hidden from sight, but still open to the public, the queen showed the tomb of the last clone of Palpatine, a former emperor also known under his Sith name Darth Sidious. The accusers would have claimed this grave would be instead a “Sith Ceremonial chamber,” despite the plaque. The remains were uncovered after the earthquake and the queen’s forensic scientists concluded from a bone sample it was the Emperor’s.

The queen addressed what she fell the main problem, although, the Jedi accusation list are many. She denied her tattoos would be Sith runes or that she knew personally Darth Malice or Darth Exitium. The only Sith she knew was Darth Novo when he crashed on Onderon, he was held in the “torture room”, and healed at the Jedi’s instance, but eventually someone helped him to escape.

To sort this accusation, the Queen said she would love to meet the Jedi accusing her and deplore they had not tried to get her side.

To conclude on the situation on Onderon, the Queen said the planet “is prospering after the hardships it has unjustly suffered. These accusations in the face of such strong people is an insult to us, but we will get through it as we do everything else. Our special thanks goes out to the Mandalorians, who so loyally protected us when we were rebuilding and had so little of our own defenses, not to mention saving my own life.”
