Nar Shaddaa Once Again in the Hands of the Hutts

September 13, 2013

GNN reporter Daana Kira attended the latest Hutt Night on Nar Shaddaa.

After several months of power shifts and fighting over the Hutt moon of Nar Shaddaa, it seems that things are back in the Hutt Clan’s hands. This particular evening saw the return of the thawed out Shaka the Hutt as well as a visit by Issulla who had been banned by the previous leadership. Joining them on stage were Magus and Dunka the Hutts along with their majordomos and security. The exact nature of leadership is yet unknown but without the presence of two-thirds of the old triumvirate and Miss Omar seemingly once again head of security its assumed at this time that control is back in the hands of the Hutt Clans.

The Hutt Council meets once again on Nar Shaddaa.

The night began with Shaka greeting old friends and being introduced to new members and allies of the Hutt Council.  Several member of the audience were surprised but glad to see the famous Hutt again since he had been frozen in carbonite for several months now. Wishing to leave the past in the past, Shaka took his place once again on stage and began Hutt night once again.

Starting out the event, Iskara Kaar of Sleheyron Industries, came before the Hutts. She began by telling it was good to see Shaka thawed and Issulla would be glad of the news. She came to announce that the Sleheyron shipyards are ready to and at full capacity to start repairing and replacing ships from the conflict that had enveloped Nar Shaddaa. Upon on hearing about the ships, Shaka the Hutt inquired about the Renegade fleet and was told they were still at the front lines, since news has been slow announcing the end of conflicts in Hutt space.

Speaking from the stage, Dunka the Hutt, leader of the Unobunko clan made a public announcement. He made a formal introduction to the crowd stating that he was the son of the infamous Smooka the Hutt and had built the Unobunko clan back into an extensive organization it had once been. Operating from their base on Nal Hutt, Dunka and his clan plan to increase their already sizable wealth and expand their business and empire throughout the galaxy.

At the midpoint in the event Issulla the Hutt joined the council. Since the hostilities had ended Issulla agreed to drop the 30% tariff off ships doing business in Hutt space and go back to the normal 10% on non-Hutt ships that had existed before the conflict. She also advertised several Star Destroyers for sale from the Sleheyron shipyards.

Ending out the night was a lady by the name of Samantha requesting a private meeting with the council and Sparrow of the Apotheosis Corporation announcing a “Fresh Start program” designed to help those down on their luck or with other need on Nar Shaddaa.
