Standoff begins at the meditation area.

A Sith group spread over Jedi academy of Yavin 4. Originally some Jedi and allies were present, but beside a light opposition they withdrew to other facilities. Speaking for the group, Darth Hellius asserted the Serpentine Order had “successfully crushed the Jedi Order on Yavin.” They wanted to recover artifacts that would be their but were held by the Jedi. The only way they saw to get them back was to challenge the Jedi.

Jedi arrive to face off against the Sith

A elder Jedi tried to block them because his Jedi vows and having been pained in the past by those Sith. His attempt however failed and he was captured after a fight. Other sith were seen in the library where the artifacts are usually stored. Combats amplified when people came in to rescue the captive near the meditation area, damaging it severely. Under the shock of the attack, one of the Sith was wounded, albeit they were able to leave in order, probably with some of their catches.

“Yes unfortunately many of the Artifacts were taken, but thanks to my Council Master and Yavin Jedi we were able to save one. It shall stay with us for safe keeping…”

4 artifacts….brilliant….considering the moon is littered with them. Kinda makes all that effort a waste of time, dont you think?

Reading this article, it looks more like the Jedi were attacked by surprise, these guys claimed victory, and when more Jedi showed up they got run off the planet. Hardly a “crushing victory” and more like a “sucker punch followed by an arse kicking”

“Don’t take this as an offense to your battle experience, but a surprise attack is no longer useful after the first strike,if enemy backup was in sight and the objective was at hand, why just stay and gamble a risk with the mission that they already completed?”

“They only had taken a minor few of the artifacts present on Yavin. My own of the Vindicate jumped in to try and rescue an old Jedi these Sith had made off with, us only managing to save another of the artifacts from capture”
“My Order protects…and we will protect no matter the risks involved”

“If that’s what it is, then they should own up to it instead of claiming some great military victory. This is a simply burglary, plain and simple – a snatch and grab more appropriate for some scoundrels and bounty hunters on a rust bucket of a ship. This is not the idea of a ‘fearsome’ Sith to me. More like a shoplifter and thug.”

Still though, Hit and fade kind of attacks that, even if they’re only moderately successful still add up in the long run. It’s those kinds of tactics that the Rebel Alliance used to defeat the Empire. The hardest kind of wars to fight are insurgent ,guerilla wars where even your Victories are intended to bleed you.
