New Republic Chancellor Sworn in

September 5, 2011

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide were invited to the swearing ceremony of the new Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the Republic on Coruscant.

People gathering for the inauguration of the new Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor.

Coruscant: After a recent election, former Chancellor Ma’at Nepthys opened the swearing-in ceremony Chancellor Baccus Altus of Bakura and Vice-Chancellor Annora Claire Fett of Yavin IV, which was presided over by Chief Justice Aeon. Chancellor Nephthys greeted all the guests, a large crowd made of dignitaries from several worlds and governments, from Republic systems such as Senator Muuonigar of Coruscant and Tython Governor Benae, troopers from Bakura, Consortium Alliance Warlor Maroth, along with several others. Ma’at spoke about her two terms in office and how the Republic had overcome several obstacles, but that peace and stability have been brought to the worlds composing the Republic. Stating she was proud of what they accomplished and of the Senate in general, which she will continue to work for as an Advisory Council Member. She was confident that the new leaders would initiate even greater things for the New Republic.

Taking her oath first, Annora Claire Fett stood before the crowed along with Justice Aeon as she affirmed each part of the oath to defend the Republic’s Constitution, administer her position faithfully, renounce all further loyalties, to bear arms for the New Republic when necessary, and to be guided by the Force. After being sworn in she turned to the audience and again reaffirmed that she would defend the Republic and it’s Constitution against their enemies, provide safety for the Republic’s citizenry, and discharge all her duties with the best of her ability.

Next former Vice-Chancellor Baccus Allus took the oath for his new office of Chancellor. Chancellor Altus affirmed each part of the oath, the same given to Annora Fett just before. Upon being confirmed by the Chief Justice, Chancellor Atlus addressed the crowd speaking about the rise in the enemies of the New Republic as well as other wrong-doers throughout the galaxy. He promised to bring an end to this tide of chaos and stated he along with the vice-chancellor were ready to stand with the others to defend the Republic with vibro-sword if necessary to make sure no republic system falls. He then ended by giving himself to the republic in servitude to its citizens.

At the end of ceremony, the guests were invited to a party that would transverse across the Republic. However, we were able to speak to the Chief justice on a few matters. Hopefully an interview with the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor are forth coming. Chief Justice Aeon was to go Byss to speak of a recent announcement by Emperor Novo concerning the arrest on sight of Jedi within the Empire. Not commenting on the fact that the Republic itself has a related stance concerning those they find as “dangerous non-citizens” such as the Sith, the Chief Justice wished to speak with him to curb possible future conflicts especially since several Jedi orders find it their duty to take on the Sith, which could bring the Republic into a conflict which it doesn’t start. We had GNN hope all these politicians, such as the new Chancellor, and others can come to some sort of agreement before innocent lives are lost over ideological differences.

Nico Fett and his folk kill Jedi on Jasier and Annora Fett gets high ranking position in the Republic. What a wonderful place the galaxy is. Maybe Nico can be the next chancellor.

Hopefully mrs.Fett’s loyalty is to her office and not her husbands clan. Not to sound biased but with her new office, she has responsibility to the republic which supersedes that to the mandalorians.

Annora is not a Mando’ad and therefore owes no responsibility to the Aliit, Just because she is married to a Mandalorian does not automatically make her one, stop with these damn narrow minded comments, learn a thing or two about our culture, THEN you can comment on such things.

I wold question it if she were married to a high ranking jedi, sith or imperial. Do not assume its simple because I have some dislike for mandalorians. When you marry some one its a given your going to support them a tad. A rather doubt she would totally ignore her husband and his ideas entirely. Maybe other people are more trusting than I am.

((Technically, if someone from outside the clans married a mando, if the ceremony was the Riduurok, then they would be Mando…end of story. Perhaps you need to learn a bit))

Seems that Nico Fett has gone missing but the Vice Chancelor seems resolved behind her oath of office. Dispite being a family friend to Mrs.Fett, I shall see if she will maintain her Republican leanings especially when the inevitable Mandalorian attack on the Republic occurs.

Nico Fett is not missing, he is on a Mission with the UIRF, he shall return in about a week

*comms open up from The UISD Tay’Haai, as a Holo of Nico in his orange beskar’gam with imperial cap on appears*

I am indeed NOT missing, the crew of this vessel and myself have set off to find the long lost Lady Widow, former leader of the UIA.

In response to all others, take what Mirshe says to heart. My wife is loyal to me and I to her, but not always in a political fashion. Professional lives and personal lives must be kept seperate in our walks of life. She may enter an aliit by marriage but it does not make her a Mando’ad.

((Actually anyone who does not follow the Resol’nare is not a Mandalorian period, You may enter a clan by marriage but this does not make you a Mandalorian techincally, and a Riduurok can only be done between two Mandalorians, not an outsider, STFU and learn a bit?))

((Find me a source that says marrying a Mandalorian makes you a Mandalorian, see people like you ruin the Mandalorian roleplay, who think they can just wear a set of armor and be “Look at me, I’m a Mandalorian”, same goes for these Jedi Mando’s that you are all too familiar with.

Let me make this abundantly clear, Marrying a Mandalorian marries you into the clan but it does not mean your are recognised as one, not unless you follow the Resol’nare and do what else is required))

((And adoption means shit, being adopted doesn’t make you a Mandalorian unless your are they trained and take your Verd’goten, you can take it at whatever age))

(( here is a note to all those who have such failed misconceptions of the Mandalorians and their unique Culture. Yes they are a group based on Honor and war, but it is not that simple. Joining the Ranks of the Mandalorians requires entry trials (preferably at the age of 13-14), known as Verd’goten. Before, during, and after Verd’goten the Mandalorian is expected to be educated in most, if not ALL Mandalorian History, Speak the language fluently, dedicate their time to the clan, always defend your family and fellow Mandalorian, Raising your children as Mandalorians (and Preferable marrying a fellow Mandalorian). And always Represent the Mandalorians by wearing your armor. When a Mandalorian hears someone as naive as Xan say that Mrs.Fett is a Mandalorian because she Married Nico Fett, it is insulting due to the fact that it diminishes the hours they dedicated to Learning everything about Mandalorians, the language, and the hours of Roleplay put into their character. How would you feel if becoming a Jedi took learning a large amount of History, Language, and dedication, while a fellow Jedi married someone and their partner instantly became a Jedi? ))

(( and I’m tired of Jedi and Sith swapping roles and clones being brought back even after the Republic realised that all the clones where easy to manipulate… And then Empires being spawned when they only control sole planets or even less. Can we get something new and unique for once? Not saying that I did a good job at creating a Unique group but I did not hold back from fighting for the sake of making SWRP interesting… ))

(( Cloning is a technology that is part of the Star Wars universe, and cloning does not automatically make someone easy to manipulate. o.O

As for empires, they vary in scale just like in real life, some empires can cover a portion of a planet, or several planets in a solar system, or several solar systems etc. ))

      • September 9, 2011 at 8:39 PM

((Hell, an empire could even be covering just a continent on a world, same as RL. My ‘United Imperial Remnant Forces’ are whats left of the United Imperial Alliance made by Blade and Skyla, keeping it going in memory of her, but will never consider it to become a real empire like they planned))

(( Those are technical explanations. I am complaining about the excessive use, fact that people should icly learn from history, and the fact that calling yourself an empire and buying a sim called “Planet whatever” shouldn’t make you an empire. Of course the Empires that do this simply make themselves seem silly and become ignored. ))

(( You think dictating the role-playable size of a faction based on how many sims said faction owns is a good idea? How does that help the community in any way? In SWRP a faction doesn’t need it’s own sim to be role-played, and the last thing we need is more empty sims. What I believe really matters is how well you role-play the faction, if you can give off an reasonable impression of size, then people will tend to treat it that way. Of course common sense comes into it too. I’d say you’d make yourself look rather silly to refuse to RP with a group just because you think they should waste money buying a new sim. ))

There are many instances in the historical records to prove that clones are not a simple carbon copy of the template DNA. ((Force Unleashed 2 and the Null-Arc Troopers.)) A major selling point was that Clones are more adaptable in combat than droids making them far superior according to the Kaminoans.((episode 2)) . As far as Nico and his bride, both will do what is their duty ((Episodes 2 and 3)) Yet I do ask after this constitution as I’ve yet to be provided a copy. With Empires, Sith or not you have a much more streamlined form of government. It is of interest how the defunct ‘Anti-Sith’ bill was eventually dismantled before 19BBY and how it could return seems to need some explanation. as for this constitution
