Crimson Kingdom set up in Rhen Var

Reporters of the Galactic News were invited in the court of Rhen Var.

The Crimson Kingdom took possession of the planet Rhen Var. The royal family of this kingdom chose the  snowy planet because of its isolation from the rest of the Galaxy. From here they expect to expand military and politically. They assure their people are free and will welcome the new citizen wanting to enjoy of this freedom. They will also welcome the non hostile visitors from other faction to their installation once they will be ready. So far the foreign relationship of this new government is limited and they have not disclosed their financing. However they promise of “Freedom from tyranny, injustice, oppression, false leaderships,” according to the King’s spokesman the Baron Aeron, might attract new settlers.— Daana Kira, Rakiko Lowtide

Succession to the Jasier Throne

Reporters of the Galactic News had an appointment with the new queen of the planet Jasier.

Ankara, new Queen of Jasier

After the death of its former monarch, the planet Jasier has a new Queen. The King died trying to protect her grand-daughter from a mysterious assassin, whose the motivation have still not been cleared. Ankara, formerly leader of the Rhen Var Colony succeeded Shar, her grandfather, King of this hereditary monarchy. The Rhen Var Colony was abandoned after too many attacks, shortly before they applied to become member of the Republic, but it was unanswered at that time. The settlers, a pair of Jedi orders and mandalorians clans, followed Ankara to her new planet, most hospitable, where they help at the defence along with a trooper squadron.

The people of this moderately populated planet were still cautious with the their new rulers which didn’t live on the planet before, but, according to the Queen, they are now starting to trust her. She kept the last government in place and wants to continue the trade project started by the former King. It would open up the planet to the Galaxy while it was before isolated. Their primary export is rare fruits and fishes. She wants to have good relationships with the other worlds, the Queen also told she will to keep the planet independent.

Update in the Rhen Var colony

Reporters of Galactic News returned in Rhen Var to have news of the small colony, facing many attacks.

Rhen Var: Many Systems in the Galaxy expressed their concern about the situation of the settlement on the planet Rhen Var. They formerly faced an attack from an United Imperlal troops and threats from the Skirata clan. Jedi from Coruscant and from other worlds of the New Republic visited to try help. Now Rhen Var is close to the Galactic Senate at the point they placed an application, which should be discussed by the Senate very soon.

The situation is however calmed down according the citizens we met, even if they still deplore skirmishes. Some of this attacks are attributed Uni Zmoa, an old enemy of the clan coming from Jaratenge, even if this one was believed dead. She is now accused of new murder or serious injuries against the Rhen Var community.

The situation between Rhen Var and the United Empire is now stabilised and they are now neutral to each other. The new regional Moff said his apologies for the former raid and ensured their politic is quieter than in the past. Declan, one of the Rhen Var citizen, however kept in custody by the Empire for murder attempt.

Let’s hope the situation will continue to calm down in the colony of Rhen Var and the remaining murders roaming in the ice will be arrested.

Recent Clashes in Rhen Var

On Ord Mantell, Galactic News heard about a battle between the United Imperial troops and Rhen Var locals.

Rhen Var

Rhen Var: A fight occured on the snowy planet Rhen Var between an United Imperial squad, based on Ord Mantell, and the the local troops. According an imperial trooper, one of them was pinned down by the locals. Reinforcement came to rescue him, causing many wounded in the local ranks. The real reasons are not clear, but it could be a duel having degenerated. This fight was however surprising since many people of Rhen Var have ties with the United Imperials. 

Rhen Var inhabitants minimised the skirmish, as they say the planet is suffering daily fights. One of their representatives, Nico Fett, said the commandos started the aggression. The Imperial leaders would have took sanctions against those involved on their side, but the talks may be not be over yet.

Another different source of conflict is the antagonist the Skirata mandalorian clan has against the Fett. Some of the Fett would have misbehaved in the past, but Nico Fett says he is not related to those. Accoridng to him, Skirata threatened to unborn children of Nico’s wife, Ankara. Nico is however wanting to calm down situation, ignoring Skirata, which he says, he has become accustomed to their hate. In case of necessity he knows he can count on his clan, the Dha’oya’karir and their allies.

Updates on Rhen Var

Reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide met up with Ankara from the Castaignede family and Rhen Var Defense Force (RVDF) Commander Falcon on Rhen Var to talk about recent occurrences and updates on mast incidents.

On the icy cold world of Rhen Var, GNN was able to speak with Ankara Myst, a mandalorian of the Parjai’an clan and a member of the Castaignede family on Jaratenge,  who recently relocated from Saleucami.Having travelled to the barren world to reconnect with her family roots as her mother Lita Cataignede once lived there and could still be felt by Ankara, the young mandalorian has brought her clan, old family friends, and protectors with her. One of those joining with Ankara is Commander Falcon, once a GAA officer, now part of the newly formed Rhen Var Defense Force. Having recently arrived on Rhen Var, the new settlers began to make their lives on the ancient Jedi world. After establishing a base they began to befriend the locals, mostly made of archeologists from across the galaxy, having come to Rhen Var to begin several digs on the old Jedi ruins found on the planet. However, living on the planet has been made harder by constant attacks and several incidents that have caused most of the scholars to leave. 

As reported to previously one of the archeologists was found murdered. The investigation finally turned up the assailant as being a protocol droid belonging to an unknown individual has conducted other attacks and terrorist activities against Ankara and the other settlers. His motivation not being clear, the powerful force-user has attacked several individuals including Ankara herself, used a ship to make bombing runs against the settlers, induced his protocol droid to reprogram other droids for nefarious purposed and most recently having destroyed the food supply of the settlers. AS of this time, his identity is still unknown nor whether the murder carried out against the archeologist student coincides with his campaign against the settlers or was for another purpose, as the student had stated he had found a great discovery thought which is unknown also. Curiously the student was killed before stating what exactly he found and his body dumped in front of the RVDF building, possibly indicating a link between his death and the campaign to remove the settlers.

Rhen Var

As the settlers try to come to grips to identify the unknown criminal, they’ve stepped up their search for several possible Jedi artifacts along with a rumored cave of rare solari crystals, which may provide clues to what the man wants. Security and patrols have also been improved while the settlers try to replenish their supplies through several important imports. Help has also come from several sources such as the NJO sending investigators to learn of the unknown man’s identity and supplies being provided of Lady Paramour of Dantooine. GNN will continue coverage of the Rhen Var situation and hopes that identity of the unknown man is determined soon.

Continued Coverage of Elections on Dantooine: Talk with Lady Paramour

As the elections have aparently come to an end on Dantooine,GNN reporters Rakiko Lowtide and Daana Kira met with Lady Paramour one of the candidates who had run for senator of Dantooine. She spoke of her candidacy, about her work around the galaxy, and about losing to Jedi Master Mark Ordram, the new senator for Dantooine.

Dantooine: Lady Paramour, who had been running for the senate seat to the Galactic Senate from Dantooine, was gracious enough to speak with the Galactic News Network. Even though she apparently lost the election to Dantooine Jedi Master Mark Ordram, she will continue to work as a diplomat for Dantooine, visiting friendly worlds and allies of Dantooine to keep talks open. She also stated specifically that she was in political talks with three systems she wished to keep anonymous for now.

In addition, Lady Parmour will continue her work as a galactic humanitarian providing support and aid to others around the galaxy, a mission she is able to perform due to her extensive resources. Other groups such as Jedi, Mandalorian clan, and other organizations have also contributed to her work of providing medical, military, economic, and other types of aid to several worlds. She hopes that her work will help unite all Jedi, like-minded systems, and other non-sith organizations to insure that there is freedom and stability in the Galaxy. On a specific note, she has been busy helping those on Rhen Var with their defence against sith forces, helping the system politically, and also providing support for more specific problems such as the recent investigation into the murder of a Rhen Var local.

In closing, Lady Paramour wished Senator Ordram the best of luck and also to his team. However, she did voice a concern that most of the political offices on Dantooine had been filled by Jedi including the entire Senatorial team, who also heads the Dantooine local government. She would like to see more independence between the Jedi and Government. GNN will try to contact the Senator Ordram to cover some issues, but wishes Lady Paramour the best of hope in her endeavours as there are numerous areas in the galaxy requiring assistance.

Murder in Rhen Var

The crime scene

The local correspondant of Galactic News in Rhen Var wrote a dispatch on a murder.

Edo, age 28 was found dead today on the planet of Rhen Var in the early evening hours by a young mandalorian girl named Ankara. The Rhen Var defense force was quickly called to the scene of the crime to investigate. However, due to a low amount of supplies, a reward will be given to anyone who is able to assist in the investigation of this crime and the capture of the killer.

It should be noted that Edo was part of an archeology team studying archeology with one of the universities in the galaxy and was on Rhen Var working on analyzing the contents of the ruins of Rhen Var during the time of his death. His family has not yet been notified due to the fact that no one on the planet really knew who they were.
