Kessel Gate renovates

A reporter of Galactic News visited the Kessel Gate under renovation.

Kessel Gate: The asteroid in the Kessel sector known as the Gate was seized by the planetary government due to tax issue with the Gate’s original investor Kaelinn X. A trial is still planned, but the authorities already started to invest in the asteroid’s renovation. According to Sergeant Major Po Vexe, the government understood this asteroid was an important stop and military position for the planet.

The Lower Hangar

A new lower hanger with a repair facility and an adjacent duty-free shop and an alchemist shop have been set to attract the travellers. The rebuilt is financed by Kessel. Expectantly, they will be refunded by the income of this facilities and the asteroid’s own industry. It indeed has a droid factory and yet closed mines. The mines are currently infested by large bugs despite the efforts voluntary spacers had made to chase them away.

The Rocket Down level

In the upper area of the asteroid still stands the Rocket Down cantina. It’s now surrounded by decorations and small garden. Also a new club, the StarLight, was set up to relax in security. All travellers and businessmen are welcome if they respect the Kessel laws.

Kaelinn ‘Baby Girl’ X goes to prison

Local correspondant in Kessel reported a police operation.

Early this morning, the home of infamous entertainment mogul Kaelinn ‘Baby Girl’ X was raided by Kessel authority. Records, hard drives, holos and other physical evidence was collected as X was taken into custody for tax evasion, perjury, fraud and money laundering. Her banking accounts and physical assets were seized at the same time during this well planned surgical strike.

X has long been suspected of organized crime after netting millions of credits working for Jiramma Hutt Clan, Nasirii Hutt Clan and her own entertainment company X Play. She is also accused of profit skimming and price fixing on past events she has created such as the Galactic Swoop Cup, Bengat Pod and STAP races, Galaxy Choice Awards, numerous pageants including Miss Galaxy and other lesser events like public fights and gambling.

According to Kessel laws of business, and a contract signed between X and the Kessel Government X has defaulted on her Kessel Gate loan as well, leaving the fate of the newly refurbished gateway to Kessel unknown at this time. It is customary for the Kessel Government to seize all assets of the people they have imprisoned.

The Kessel penal system is well known for it’s strict regulations and X could see a long time behind bars before ever seeing a judge.

CIS Meetings up for Re-scheduling

A reporter of the Galactic News Network went to the CIS meeting in Zonama Sekot.

A meeting of the CIS summed up to a discussion between Kaelinn X from Kessel Gate, Salene Lusch and Flint Mokeev from Zonama Sekot. Kaelinn deplored the disapearance of some members, weakening the organisation while the union could have been positive. They evoked to schedule the meetings differently for a larger audience.

Also Kaelinn X wished to run official visits to other systems in the hope to improve their relationships and the visibility of the Confederacy. Salene Lusch regreted most organision would be stay-at-home or were not open enough to others. However, Zonama Sekot would send an emissary along with Kaelinn or mandate her to talk in their name in this travels.

Finaly Kaelinn X introduced The Wheel, an orbital station over Nar Shaddaa, relic of the past time. It will soon reopen as a casino and provide entertaintment under the direction of the Kessel Group.

Business and Pleasure at Hutt Night

GNN reporters Daana Kira and Rakiko Lowtide attended the latest Hutt Night.

Nar Shaddaa: With the moon back under full control of the Hutts, their public audience once again was held at the Black Hole Casino, though Shaka was the only member from the council to attend though he was accompanied by associates, including Morrigan, Sparrow, and Sihivus Verne and other Hutts. However, the absence of Dunka and Nerous caused a murmur of rumors and speculations, especially on the behalf of Dunka with some saying he was now dead. GNN will try their best to substantiate or refute these rumors.

Hutt night begins.

The first to come before the Hutts this night was Jay who has served as Hutt security in the past, though this evening he seemed to speaking on behalf of certain Jedi. he wished to congratulate the Hutts on their return to power and the status of the Jedi now that all conflicts had ended. Shaka told him as long as the Jedi could compose themselves they would be welcomed back to do business. jay also pointed out that they needed to be careful and not let the power slip and was concerned of the presence of Miss Verne’s hologram, though Shaka didn’t seem concerned and alluded that everything had been handled.

Next Kaelinn X came before Shaka to speak about a joint effort with the Hutts over what seems to be an entertainment establishment of some sort that has entered the moon’s orbit. She wished to talk to the council about when the opening date would be as well as a concern over tariffs and materials. Shaka though seemed optimistic about its opening soon and stated things would be smoothed out soon.

Following this piece of information Hutt Night was soon winding down though Shaka the Hutt through Kaelinn made an announcement that entertainment would be provided following the conclusion of all business. A pair of somewhat famous improv droids known as ‘D4PH7-PU|\|K’ were invited to entertain the guests. With them introduced the droids appeared and put an impressive concert.

So impressive most of the attendees began to join in with the music and light show, bringing their best dance moves. However as the festive atmosphere broke out a conflict also erupted in the audience between Jay and some what appeared to be Sith attendees, specifically Lady Umbra. The conflict soon spread though the droids kept match and changed the tempo of their music to match that of fight. Over several minutes blaster bolts, swords and force powers filled the casino, though in the end jay escaped his would be captors and they left without further incidence.

Business Proposals Brought Forth at Hutt Night

GNN reporter Daan kira attended the latest Hutt Night on Nar Shaddaa.

Present from the Nar Shaddaa leadership and also taking on a hosting role was Sharifa Omar. Joining her were a couple of Hutt guests recently returning to Nar Shaddaa and helping to oversee the event, They were Magus and Smoska the Hutt.

Starting out the evening Magus made a proposal to a Zeltron by the name of Xi’i, After some negotiations and contract re-writing where all clauses that could make her a slave were taken out, the Zeltron finally agreed and began working for the Hutt, at least in this capacity as it seemed she was a successful businesswoman in her own right.

Following these negations the two Hutts then engaged in an intra-hutt deal, whereby the bodies of those terminated by bounties would be used for a lucrative organ retrieval and sale business. However, they were reminded that Nar Shaddaa authorities would not tolerate the indiscriminate work of bounty hunters trying to collect bodies to sell. The Hutts agreed that the business would come from off world bounties.

Starting out business from the audience was a man who wished help in locating a young Twi’lek. Wishing for the job to be clandestine he only gave the name to the those on the stage the it was overheard that she was a young Sith, His reasoning for wanting to find her  was unclear but he wanted her found without her knowledge. He was told that he would be provided information if any came up.

During this time Kaelinn X also made an announcement congratulating the Nar Shaddaa Leadership with their win at the GNN sponsored Galactic Choice Awards.

And with a final other private matters between the Hutts and a few of the audience members, Hutt Night came to an end.

Announcements, Entertainment and Business at Odominic Night

A correspondant of the Galactic News Network attended to the Odominic Night in Kessel Gate.

Meeka and Issulla

A large crowd gathered at the StarLight for Odominic Night. Meeka D’lux took the stage to give a speech about the current state of the Odominic clan and all other clans that previously formed the Hutt Council on Nar Shaddaa, saying “Once there was a mighty force in the galaxy known as the Hutt Council… so many wise and powerful Hutts… Darmutta, Belutric, Issulla, Jengaz, Gilbar… even Shaka. But then came a great rift that tore asunder… split the council… made Hutt fight Hutt and place bounties on one time business partners… and Nar Shaddaa was lost in the chaos. Now the once Mighty Hutt Council is fragmented… almost lost to the galaxy. Only Issulla remains to protect the sacred name and ways of the Hutt Council… a Hutt in exile. A clan outcast.. Odominic. Our clan perseveres.. over comes.. and even though the Hutt Council on Nar is a fading memory.. from the ashes raises the next chapter. Issulla the wise.. the grand.. the powerful. The Hutt Council is not dead, what has happened on Nar Shaddaa is but a flesh wound, and chance to reform and rebuild, and learn from the mistakes Shaka has made. Odominic welcomes growth”

Kaelinn X

Meeka called up the first speaker of the night to be heard by the Mighty Issula the Hutt. Kaelinn X took the stage to give further details on the Pazaak tournament that was announced last week, being held at the Rocket Down Cantina on Kessel Gate. Kaelinn announced the schedule of the event ((first session 12th, then every Monday at 7pm SLT)) The house will add 100 credits to the pot for every player that signs up and winner takes all. Adding that any and all side betting will be encouraged.

Darth Obilvion

The next speaker was a one Darth Oblivion who was a little unclear of what he wanted but mentioned he was sorry to hear about Gilbar the Hutt’s demise and asked if the Odominic clan wanted to take over Gil’s contract. Issulla replayed by inviting him to talk in private at a later time then called a night to an abrupt end, because the hutt was not feeling well. Meeka closed the night asking everyone to please wish Issulla well and that Odominic business will continue next week as always.

CIS and Piracy

Reporters of the Galactic News Network attended at the CIS meeting in Kessel Gate.

Kessel Gate: The representative of the Confederacy of Independent System met for the last time in Kessel Gate, under the presidency of Kaelinn X. They started the meeting by deploring the missing of Lady Kia of Dathomir and the little news they had from. Kaelinn suggested they actively recruit to compensate the losses. The representatives were open candidacy of new members wanting to trade with them.

Issulla The Hutt also deplored the increase of pirate raids on her business and asked contractors to be hired to fight this plague. Not much was said about the pirate, albeit Issulla believe it’s the same band since they use similar ships and the same mode of operation. They were however not identified. Salene Lusch from Zonama Sekot recalled they had located pirates near her planet, but there is no evidence it’s the same band.

Invited by Weth Solo from the CMC, Faardor Laar from the Imari clan showed her interest to take part of the CIS lane security. She said her clan had extensive experience at fighting pirates. The representatives should interview her in the future.

Search of the Droid Core

A reporter of the Galactic News Network discussed with Kaelinn X in Kessel Gate.

Markus Soto, a famous droid expert, is looking for the Droid Core. The Droid Core is a belief all the droids regardless their makers are connected together by some mystical ability. Markus recently found an army of ancient droids to be repaired and established his workshop in Kessel Gate. Looking for more evidence, maybe an artifact, Markus requested the help of Issula the Hutt in her last audience. As a reaction, Kaelinn X, a tenant of the Kessel Gate, will sponsor the “Search of the Droid Core” event with a credit reward.

So far, the known hints are few. They can be examined in Soto’s workshop located in the old mines in Kessel Gate. The treasure hunters wanting to claim the reward will have to follow the tracks that can leads them anywhere in the Galaxy, then bring their discovery, if any to Kaelinn X.

Odominic Night Sees Increase in Business Talks

A local Correspondent covering the Kessel system filed this report:

Gathering to speak with the Hutts.

“This week’s Odominic Night was a particularly busy night as people from all over the galaxy came to seek an audience with the Hutt Council. The first speaker of the night was a one Chakaar, claiming to be the Director of Apotheosis Inc. Chakaar began by giving the Hutts two gifts as a gesture of friendship and lasting profits and business partners. After formalities were finished, Chakaar continued the meeting asking Issulla the Hutt for mining rights to Kessel, it is unclear why, perhaps for a laugh and free credits but Issulla played along with the man’s request pulling out an obviously forged deed to a mine on Kessel, offering to sell it to for ten thousand credits, Chakaar agreed to send half of the credits now, and the rest,  after inspection of the mine. it should be noted that it’s well known the Odominic Clan are Ship builders and have no claim to the planet Kessel or its mines.

The next guest of the night was Lieutenant Shala of the Renegade Fleet, returning to the Hutt Council after her last visit to give an update to the on going struggle to take back Nar Shaddaa from Sihivus Verne, stating “after several conflicts with the Imperial Storm Corps, we have determined them to currently have six star destroyers in operation around the moon.” Issulla assured the Lieutenant that the Odominic Navy led by her lead enforcer, Iskara Kaar was already on its way  and would reach Narr Shaddaa very soon to reinforce the Renegade Fleet. at which point Kaelinn X, owner of Kessel Gate stepped forward offering her support and the use of the Gate as a safe haven for the Renegade fleet to use if needed.

Wasting no time, Meeka D’lux called up the next speaker a Mandalorian by the name of Lok who proceeded onto the stage offering the sale of a double bladed lightsaber claiming the it belonged to a Master Jedi. Issulla seemed uninterested in the item but out of curiosity asked who the lightsaber belonged to. The Mandalorian could not give a name, saying “…I didn’t exactly ask his name when I shot him multiple times … in the body … with a high powered blaster … then dumped him in a river…”  but gave a detailed description of the Jedi, as many on lookers in the audience claimed this could be none other then Marsh Solo. After the offer was rejected to buy the lightsaber the Mandalorian made a quick exit of starlight room.

Continuing the night, a man named Levineff Praxis took the stage next, only asking a question of the Mighty Hutts, if they knew of a place where he and his own could settle, saying the place had to be fortified easily and somewhere as far away from Sith as possible, saying “That is what my organization is being brought up for…to destroy them by any means necessary”  referring to the Sith.  The Hutt Council were unsure on how, or even why they should help the man. The Mighty Hutts decided they needed prof of his intent, and to gain favor with them before they could consider helping the man. Sending Levineff to retrieve the Lightsaber from the Mandalorian Lok, who left with it just moments before. Levineff accepted the task and left the stage.

The last Speaker of the night was Captain Sharizar Leader of the Crimson Talon Pirates. However the meeting was requested to be private and to be kept out of the GNN news under threats of death, so not much can be said about the meeting.”

New Host at the Odominic Audience in Kessel

Meeka stands in for Hutt during Kessel audience.

Odominic Night was a short session as the Mighty Issulla the Hutt was not able to attend. Instead Meeka D’lux, newly hired employee of the Hutt, hosted the nights guests explaining the mighty hutt’s absence being a special holiday for the Odominic clan and Issulla  herself was with her fellow clan members celebrating. Meeka D’lux turned away non urgent business, telling them to return tomorrow when the Hutts would be available to hear them, however one guest, Lod Atrox stepped forward to let the Hutt clan know of a Fleet of Star Destroyers that has been dispatched to an undisclosed location, and will be needing fuel, supplies, and passage as their route will bring them through Kessel gate. Meeka reminded the speaker that the Odominic clan were only guests at the gate and such business would be better heard by Kessel gate staff, or owner, Kaelinn X. However Meeka did offer support on behalf of the Hutts as long as the fleet was not trying to pass through one of the blockades the Odominic clan has in place, Inviting Lod Atrox to speak more of the fleet with Issulla her self when she returns tomorrow.
